Knowledge is Meant to be Shared

"Save Yourselves From This Corrupt Generation"

By William M. Self, Sr.

Make common sense

Spread the knowledge of God

Be a pleasant aroma to the sense of smell

“But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.
For we are to God the aroma of Christ” 2 Corinthians 2:14-16

Knowledge is Meant to be Shared

It is hard for us to remember the
time when we had no knowledge.

From the darkness of the womb,
knowledge surrounded us.

Before we could read or speak a word…

We learned.

We put the pieces of life together by
5 senses God has given us.

Everything and everybody around us was a teacher.

Whether you love to teach, or not, you are a teacher.

Others are learning from you through the 5 senses.

I love to teach my granddaughters new things.

It is very rewarding to see them grow in knowledge.

I am amazed at how fast they learn.

Hopefully, they will someday read my devotionals…

And I hope they will remember my words of wisdom.

But out of the 5 senses that they learn from…

I hope their sense of smell will be the greatest.

I hope that my life… all that I do and
all that I say and the touches I give,
will be remembered as a pleasing aroma.

God wants you and I to smell good.

He leads you and I every day.

He leads us to people and situations.

Through our knowledge of God,
we are to teach them and show
them how to live the fullest life.

When you and I go through the fires of life,
we do not want to smell like smoke.

We don’t want to say one thing
and smell like another.

You and I are to spread the
knowledge of God everywhere.

But unless it has a pleasing aroma,
 people will be turned off.

So how pleasant do you smell today?

Scripture Reading

Acts 2:40-41 NIV
"Save yourselves from this corrupt generation."

Romans 1:28 NIV
since they did not think it worthwhile
to retain the knowledge of God,
he gave them over to a depraved mind,
to do what ought not to be done.

2 Corinthians 2:14-16 NIV
14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ
and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.
15 For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved
and those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are the smell of death;
to the other, the fragrance of life.
