Being Successful Wisdom Regarding Money The Subject of Wealth

Being Successful
Wisdom Regarding Money
The Subject of Wealth

Money, Money, Money in a rich man’s world is the way the song goes
Mamma Mia sings of her poverty and the dreams of being rich
She dreams of marrying a rich man and winning in Las Vegas
And all the things she could do if she had a little money
We all have ideas about money
While some think money provides the ultimate security
Others think it is a virtue to be poor
So what does God have to say about MONEY?

Wisdom Regarding Money
The Subject of Wealth

Money, Money, Money in a rich
man’s world is the way the song goes.

Mamma Mia sings of her poverty
and the dreams of being rich.

She dreams of marrying a rich
man and winning in Las Vegas.

And all the things she could
do if she had a little money.

We all have ideas about money.

While some think money
provides the ultimate security.

Others think it is a virtue to be poor.

The Bible has a lot to say about money.

It addresses earning and
spending, saving and giving.

It also warns about wasting our money.

The Book of Proverbs addresses
issues relating to money such as…

Wealth and Poverty

Generosity and Greed

Regarding Wealth does have advantages.

Companionship of friends
 Proverbs 14:20; 19:4, 6-7

The ability to speak more freely
Proverbs 18:23

Wealth does not provide everything.

Does not deliver from death
Proverbs 11:4

Keep wealth in prospective.

Don’t wear yourself out to get rich.

Riches easily disappear
Proverbs 23:4, 5

Wealth can be a blessing but without
wisdom it can easily become a curse.

How we gain wealth is very important.

If our wealth grows as our wisdom grows we
will be more likely to enjoy and manage it.

With money comes responsibility.

Money is a tool, it has to be properly
put to work to have any value.

In the Book of Proverbs,
Righteousness is contrasted with Wealth.

In other words, there is a right way
to gain wealth and a wrong way.

The path to true riches will come
through wisdom and righteousness.
