Being Successful
The Measure of Success

To be successful we need to realize our purpose
Our purpose is discovered in the account of Creation
In that account we see “God”
God created all things and for His purpose
Creator God created a garden of paradise
We were created to care for the garden with the authority He gave to us
We were also to enjoy the fullness of life in paradise
“Well Done” “Good and faithful servant”
The person who longs to hear these words will
Take care of today’s responsibilities in a “Good and Faithful” way
God is looking for the good and faithful servants who
He can put in charge of the cities in the new heaven and new earth
Will you be one of the successful ones He will choose?

Being Successful

The Measure of Success

To be successful we need to realize our purpose.

Our purpose is discovered in the account of Creation.

In that account we see “God”.

God created all things and for His purpose.

Creator God created a garden of paradise.

We were created to care for the garden
with the authority He gave to us.

We were also to enjoy the fullness of life in paradise.

Although Adam and Eve failed, and we too,
have failed, the purpose has not changed.

The earth is still the Lord’s and He is
looking for those who will care for it.

In the end those who have been faithful to serve the Lord
will enter into a new heaven and a new earth
where Righteousness, Peace and Joy will always abound.

The Book of Proverbs gives us the keys to being successful.

What we will need to fulfill our purpose…

Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding, Discernment.

Being successful isn’t based on how
much money or possessions you have.

It is based on faithfulness.

In Proverbs 30 we find a man named Agur.

He says...
"Two things I ask of you, O LORD; do not refuse me before I die:
Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.
Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, 'Who is the LORD?'
Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.
Proverbs 30:7-9

The Apostle Paul seems to say the same thing..
I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound . Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Philippians 4:11-13 NKJV

In my life I also have seen times of
having more than enough and lacking.

Success is measures by our faithfulness in all situations.

Learning to be content while fulfilling our purpose.

All the things we are to do in life can
be done if we rely on God’s strength.

Success will not be determined until the end.

We can see this in the parable of the talents….

When the Master comes back to see what we
have done with the provisions He has given us.

Our prayer is that He will say…

"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant!
You have been faithful with a few things;
I will put you in charge of many things.
Come and share your master's happiness!'
Matthew 25:21NIV

“Well Done” “Good and faithful servant”

The person who longs to hear these words will take
care of today’s responsibilities in a good and faithful way.

It has been said we are training for the reigning.

God is looking for the good and faithful servants who He
can put in charge of the cities in the new heaven and new earth.

Will you be one of the successful ones He will choose?

Scripture Reading

Proverbs 30:7-9
7 "Two things I ask of you, O LORD;
do not refuse me before I die:
8 Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.
9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you
and say, 'Who is the LORD?'
Or I may become poor and steal,
and so dishonor the name of my God.

Philippians 4:10-13 NKJV
But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: 12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound . Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Matthew 25:21
21 "His master replied, 'Well done , good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'

Luke 19:17
17 "'Well done , my good servant!' his master replied. 'Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.'
