It has been said women are looking for a knight in shining armor

Who is this man of valor?

Ladies, if you were given $5 to build your

own ideal man how would you spend your $5?

Or, spend all $5 bucks on a Book of Proverbs man?

The Virtuous Husband 

It has been said women are looking

for a knight in shining armor.

Who is this man of valor?

The world around us is teaching our children and adults.

It is very clear the messages are leaving

men and women alike with damaged lives.

 

 The commitment of marriage

is too much for many to make.

For those who do marry many

lose the commitment to faithfulness.

God’s Word teaches men how to be men of valor.

From the creation of man,

God teaches men to be husbands.

Like other places in God’s Word the Book of

Proverbs gives us a picture of the “Ideal Husband”.

The Ideal Husband…

Values his wife Proverbs 18:22; 19:14

Recognizes she is a gift from God

especially when she proves to be prudent.

Gives his wife her due Proverbs 31:31

Allows his wife the opportunity to develop her own abilities.

Let’s her reap the benefits of her labors.

She is a whole person not just an appendage of himself.

Praises his wife Proverbs 31:28,29

He gives his wife special attention, he

recognizes her achievements over others.

He is sure to praise her; you might say he is bias.

He does not let the things she does go

unnoticed and shows gratitude regularly.

Trusts and has full confidence in her Proverbs 31:11

He demonstrates a willingness to trust

her intelligence, faithfulness, and abilities.

Not jealous or suspicious.

Content with his wife’s love Proverbs 5:15-21

He looks no farther than his wife for the

fulfillment of a husband’s needs and desires.

He allows God to judge his thoughts and

actions concerning his wife and how he treats her.

It is so important that a husband treats his

wife right as the barriers that come up in the

marriage can also create barriers in his prayer life.

1 Peter 3:7

With all the responsibilities that are on the shoulders

of a man and husband as an ideal husband his

daily focus is to “live joyfully with his wife”.

Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life which He has given you under the sun — all the days of futility. For that is your portion in this life and in your work at which you toil under the sun. Ecclesiastes  9:9 AMP

28 Her children arise and call her blessed;

her husband also, and he praises her:

31 Give her the reward she has earned,

and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

15 Drink water from your own cistern,

running water from your own well.

16 Should your springs overflow in the streets,

your streams of water in the public squares?

Why embrace the bosom of another man's wife?

21 For a man's ways are in full view of the LORD,

and he examines all his paths.
