Success Comes Through “Favor”

Think about this question

Is it possible to be successful without favor?

You and I need God’s favor and we need the favor of others

So watch very closely what you say and do

So God and others will be helpful to you

If you are loving and faithful you will be giving favor

And you will make others successful, too 

Success Comes Through “Favor”

Have you ever asked someone to do you a favor?

You were looking for some help.

Maybe it was a simple thing like asking

someone to help you to move an object.

Or, you might have asked some friends to help you

move everything you own from one house to another.

Did you ever think why you would ask for a favor?

What gave you the right to ask for a favor?

When you asked for a favor why did

you ask some people and not others?

Think about this question.

Is it possible to be successful without favor?

If no one was gracious to you…

No one showed kindness to you…

No one was charming in your life or pleasant…

How successful would you be?

If no one gave you approval or support.

What if no one honored you.

 Yes, there are people who don’t do favors.

But most of us have a reservoir of favor within us.

We are willing and like to do favors.

I am sure there are people in your life who

if they ask for a favor from you, you would

do whatever you could to do the favor. 

So what makes us want to do favors?

Proverbs 3: 4 says…

“Then you will win favor and a good name

in the sight of God and man.”

“Then” you will find favor.

When is “Then”?

Let’s look at the verse before, verse 3.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you;

bind them around your neck,

write them on the tablet of your heart.

“Let LOVE and FAITHFULNESS”

The more love and faithfulness we

give, the more favor we will receive.

And the more favor we receive

the more successful we will be.

You and I cannot get a head,

we cannot become successful

without God and people.

It is important that love and faithfulness

be in your heart and around your neck.

It is like 1 Peter 3:3…

The beauty of outward jewelry and makeup is not

enough there needs to be a beauty in the heart.

So the necklace of love and faithfulness

has to reveal what is in the heart.

Flattering people and God

will not win you favor.

But when you wear love and faithfulness

on the outside that reveals what is in the

inside, your beauty will be very attractive.

Every word you speak and every action

or jester you make reveals the heart.

You and I need God’s favor and

we need the favor of others.

So watch very closely what you say and do.

So God and others will be helpful to you.

If you are loving and faithful you

will be giving favor and you will

make others successful, too.

such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes.

Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle 

and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.

And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature,

and in favor with God and man.
