The Secret Place
By William M. Self, Sr.
There are over 85 names and 140 functions you need to
describe this knife
Do you know how many names and functions the Bible gives for
God?
In Psalms 91, the Psalmist begins to describe who his God is.
He is the Most High, the Almighty, the Lord.
“I will say of the Lord,
"He is…my God, in whom I trust."
The definition of “God”
is conceived as the supreme being.
Who is God?
It is hard to come up with an illustration of God.
So think about this…
There are a lot of knifes out there but
none like the Giant Swiss Army Knife.
With over 85 tools and 140 functions at a price of over
$2000.
This is the supreme knife.
Many people only know God as God.
They have no idea of who He is.
The Psalmist knew God as the Most High
that was His secret place, hiding place, His shelter.
Proverbs 18:10 NIV says…
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
the righteous run to it and are safe.”
Every tool in the Giant Swiss Army
Knife has a name and function(s).
So it is with God.
When we learn the names of God, we begin to see how
strong He is and the safety there is for the righteous.
Within God are the names of everything
we need for life and so much more.
These names are meant to reveal to you and I
who God is and the security we can have in Him.
