The Million Dollar Life
By William M. Self, Sr.
Will fill your house with Wealth and Riches
Psalms 112
Wealth and Riches Are in His House
Whose house is Psalms 112 talking about?
The house belongs to a person who
fears God and delights in God’s Word.
To fear something is to have
an awareness of not pleasing.
Years ago, a wonderful couple invited
Sandy and I to their house for dinner.
They lived a simple life, in a simple house.
They set the table with their very best and watched
over the preparations of food with diligence.
When we arrived, it was clear they were very nervous.
They did not feel worthy to have their pastor in their home.
Their fear was so beautiful it revealed great love and
respect.
Does your love and
respect for God bring a healthy fear in your life?
Does it make you pay close attention to every detail in your
life?
The person’s house filled with wealth and
riches will also delight in God’s Word.
God’s Word is truth.
In a world of relativism, where there are no absolutes,
our particular frame of reference can leave us shipwrecked.
God’s Word is more
than a suggestion or thought.
His Word will not return to Him void
because every word is a command.
A command that brings order and blessing to life.
The person who delights in God’s
commands will reap the blessings of life.
If you were to add up the Word of God, you took in each day…
If you were to add up God’s Word like silver and gold…
How wealthy would you be?
Every day you spend words you collected through life.
You do what you do because of something you heard, read or
thought.
Words shape your life.
Finding the right word, the word of truth to help you
in your time of need, is not something you want to
be looking for when
life requires a large payment.
You want to have God’s Word stored up in your heart
so you will be ready to handle life demands to pay the price.
“Blessed is the man
who fears the LORD,
who finds great
delight in his commands.
Wealth and riches are in his house,
and his righteousness
endures forever.”

and his
righteousness endures forever.
