The Million Dollar Life
By William M. Self, Sr
Greed may increase your bank account
But deplete your heart account
Generosity will increase your cash and
your joy
Greed
Greedy people may have a million
dollars, but cannot enjoy it.
Greed is a poverty mentality.
It is the feeling of never having enough.
It is the comparing ourselves with other.
When we compare what we have
with what others have, we become
discontented with what we have and life.
Greed pursues its own interest with
disregard for the rights of others.
There are all kinds of “Greed”.
Greed corrupts the material, ethical,
and moral sphere aspects of your life.
The Bible says… “Godliness
with
contentment is great
gain.” 1 Timothy 6:6
The Million Dollar Life
is a life of contentment.
The Million Dollar Life
is a life of blessing.
Jesus clearly says in Luke 6:38…
Give and it will be
given to you in good
measure people will
give back to you.
Every transaction in our lives should
give something of
value to others.
The get rich quick
mentality
is a form of greed.
Look for ways you can be a blessing.
Sandy and I have a friend who
is a millionaire and
we go out
with them from time to time.
Because we love them, we have
picked up the tab at the restaurant.
He has told us that his other
friends do not do
that.
What a shame when we fail to
show love by giving
because the
other person has more than us.
Don’t be consumed
with what you do not
have and see others as your opportunity.
Look at what you do have and bless others.
Remember living like a millionaire has
nothing to do with your bank account.
But everything do
with joy in your heart.
That is why God loves a cheerful giver.
Scripture Reading
Ephesians
1:17-19 NIV
18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may
be
enlightened in order that you may know
the hope to
which he has called you,
the riches
of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
and his
incomparably great power for us who believe.
That power
is like the working of his mighty strength
Luke
12:13-15 NIV
13 Someone
in the crowd said to him, "Teacher,
tell my
brother to divide the inheritance with me."
14 Jesus
replied, "Man, who appointed me
a judge or an arbiter between you?"
15 Then he
said to them, "Watch out!
Be on your
guard against all kinds of greed;
a man's life
does not consist in
the
abundance of his possessions."
2 Corinthians
9:6-9 NIV
7 Each man should give what he
has decided
in his heart to give,
not
reluctantly or under compulsion,
for God
loves a cheerful giver.
8 And God is
able to make
all grace abound to you,
so that in
all things at all times,
having all that you need, you
will abound
in every good work.
9 As it is
written
