Don't Worry

The Million Dollar Life
By William M. Self

A million dollars in your earthy wallet
Will not make you look or feel as good as
Your heavenly purse being filled with
Righteousness, Peace, and Joy

Don’t Worry!

Millionaires don’t worry about cost.

They may be fragile and wise, but if they
need or want something, they buy it.

The Million Dollar Life is a life free from worry.

The person who can learn how not
to worry will live like a millionaire.

Worry comes from images and emotions in our thought realm.

Worry is a negative nature in which mental attempts
are made to avoid anticipated potential threats.

Worry becomes anxiety that hinders productivity.

You have heard the saying…
You look like a million bucks or I feel like a million bucks.

This is how God wants you to look and feel.

You don’t need lots of money to feel this way.

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what
you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear.
Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.”

Jesus gives us some tips on how to get the Million Dollar Life.

Don’t worry about what you cannot change.

“Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you
cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?”
The second tip Jesus gives us is…
Be careful of what you set your heart on.

“Do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it.”

When the heart gets the “I got to have it”,
it will blow the budget and create stress.

God knows you need to be modestly dressed.

He also know you need to eat.

But worrying about filling the leather wallet
is not the way to live the Million Dollar Life.

Your Million Dollar Life comes from a heavenly purse.

When you fill that purse with righteous, peace
and joy you will look and feel like a million bucks.

And God will see to it that your heavenly purse
will get you all the earthy things you need, as well.

The person with a purse filled with righteous,
peace and joy will find “favor”…
They will get the good job, and the better deal.

Jesus didn’t have 2 nickels to rub together,
but He looked like a million bucks.

“Your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom,
and these things will be given to you as well.”

Success does not come by worry,
 but Righteousness, Peace and Joy

Scripture Reading

Ephesians 1:18-23 NIV
8 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, 20 which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

Luke 12:22-34 NIV
22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23 Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. 24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! 25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

27 "Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! 29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

32 "Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
