The Million Dollar Life
By William M. Self, Sr.
Christ was stripped of His clothes on the cross
So that He might put you on
“Christ in You”
Today when I was looking for a shirt to wear,
I discovered most of
my shirts are a shade of blue.
Every morning I think about what I am going
to do and pick a shirt I think fits the day.
What you and I wear each day makes a difference
in how we feel and
how others judge us.
Therefore it is very important that I think
about what I am going
to put on.
I need to think about putting on the
right clothes and
putting on Christ.
If this thing of what we put on is so important…
What does God wear? What does the ONE who owns it all wear?
The one that owns the earth and the fullness of it?
You might say a white robe.
Good answer – But the
fact of the matter is…
It has been a mystery
down through the ages.
Not too long ago, according to God’s
calendar, He revealed what He wears.
2000 year ago God chose to reveal His
glorious riches with
a new wardrobe.
Are you ready for this?
IT IS CHRIST IN YOU!!!
God chose to clothe Himself with you to show His glorious
riches.
And in doing so… To give the world the “Hope of Glory”.
I could never understand why people
would buy old jeans with holes in them.
But God brought you and I up to do His work and show His
glory.
Through every hole and imperfection, shines His mercy and
grace.
NOW how does it feel to be the clothes
of the richest person in the universe?
Let Christ wear you with pride today.
Scripture Reading
Ephesians
1:17-19 NIV
18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may
be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you,
the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and his incomparably
great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty
strength,
Luke
12:22-29 NIV
22 Then
Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about
your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23 Life
is more than food, and the body more than clothes. 24 Consider the ravens: They
do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how
much more valuable you are than birds! 25 Who of you by worrying can add a
single hour to his life? 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do
you worry about the rest?
27
"Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you,
not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28 If that
is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is
thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!
Colossians
1:25-29 NIV
25 I have
become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of
God in its fullness— 26 the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and
generations, but is now disclosed to the saints. 27 To them God has chosen to
make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is
Christ in you, the hope of glory.
28 We
proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may
present everyone perfect in Christ. 29 To this end I labor, struggling with all
his energy, which so powerfully works in me.
