Family God’s Family

Family
God’s Family

“And it was a happy day for him when He gave us our new lives through the truth of his Word,
and we became, as it were, the first children in his new family.”
James 1:18 TLB

Jesus said to Nicodemus,
 “You must be born again”

Every human being is a creation of God
but not every person is a child of God.

“For it is his boundless mercy that has given us the privilege of being
born again so that we are now members of God's own family.”
1 Peter 1:3 TLB

Being born again, becoming part of God’s family,
is a powerful thing and that power comes through faith.

“Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the
right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent,
nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.” John 1:12-13 NIV

Jesus pointing to His disciples said,
"Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my
Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother." Matthew 12:49-50 NIV

The invitation to be a part of the family of God is universal.

But there is one condition…

Faith in Jesus.

Faith makes that transformational new birth possible.

The believer’s “right” to become a
child of God is to “live by faith”.

Your personal belief system, what
you believe, determines how you live.

Those of us who live by faith in
Jesus Christ are transformed.

Like new born babies daily transformation
takes place as they are fed milk.

The things they see and hear quickly shape their lives.

The person born again will drink the sincere Word of God.

And will have their eyes and ears open to the things of God.

Rebuking doubt and unbelief was as common
as Jesus helped the disciples grow in faith.

We are not to remain infants in our
faith we are to grow from faith to faith.

We are to become full grown.

According to Ephesians 4 this is only possible as we grow
together with the family of God which is called “His Body”.

You and I are a part of that Body and our
maturity is determined by our service.

Faith comes by hearing the Word
of God but faith is not knowledge.

Faith is action…
it is living a life of Kingdom service.

As scripture says faith without works is dead.

The family of God is a family of faith.

A family living to help and serve one another.

This family is called the church.

The only thing Jesus Christ is
coming back for is His mature Church.

“…He might present the church to Himself
in glorious splendor, without spot or
wrinkle or any such things [that she
 might be holy and faultless]”AMP

Let us work together to be the glory
and spender of God’s family.

May we be the generation Christ comes back for.

Scripture Reading

Ephesians 4:11-16 NIV
11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Ephesians 5:25-27 AMP
Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her,
26 So that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her
by the washing of water with the Word,
27 That He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor,
without spot or wrinkle or any such things
[that she might be holy and faultless].
