Family
The Family Cycles
The Blessing of Family Time
Time turns into
cycles
Make the most of each
cycle
You won’t get that
time back
In the beginning God caused the sun to rule
by day and the moon
to rule by night.
From this one act of God,
we understand time
and seasons.
Life is full of beginnings and
ends that produce cycles.
Change is always in the wind.
We are reminded every day of the
importance to satisfy the needs of
today and work for tomorrow.
No matter how many times you turn 29
you will feel and
look older every year.
Being successful in life has everything to
do with understanding cycles and seasons.
This is true with family.
Family is a cycle.
Whether you add or subtract from the six cycles I have
labeled, you will still come up with cycles or seasons.
God said the man and the woman He created in His image
were blessed and they
were to be fruitful and increase.
When He blessed the male and female,
He blessed them with authority, the
ability God gave them “Us” the control.
Family we all have one.
What happens in that family is our responsibility.
We should remember that no matter what
cycle of family we are in God’s blessing is on it.
That means you and I can count on God to help us
have fruitful families, increasing in every way.
No matter how wonderful or how challenging
family life gets, God’s blessing is available.
When the image of the male or the female gets
distorted and does not look like the image of
God, the blessing also gets distorted.
No matter what cycle of family
you are in keep your image.
Don’t forget WHO you are to look like.
There are 6 cycles for a family to navigate.
“Cycles of family
life”
The marriage
Bearing children
Raising children
The empty nest / launching new family
The declining years
Death in the marriage
Family cycles should be a great
experience for the whole family.
Scripture Reading
Genesis 1:27-28 NIV
So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them,
"Be fruitful and increase in number;
fill the earth and subdue it.
