“Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book.”

“Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book.”
“Behold, I am coming soon!”

How will Jesus’ word “soon” effect today?

Revelation 22:7 says,
“Blessed is he who keeps the words
of the prophecy in this book.”

There are many prophesies in the Book of Revelations.

Prophecies of things to come.

Many of these prophesies are hard to
understand as we try to look into the future.

We are now looking at these prophesies 2000
years after John saw and recorded them.

This in itself, causes us to wonder if the
future John saw is unfolding in our life time.

John tells us we will be blessed if we
“keep the words of the prophecy in this book”.

Out of all the prophecies in the Book of Revelation
there is one that stands out above all the others.

It is found in the same verse,
"Behold, I am coming soon!”

All of us know what it is like to
put off something till tomorrow.

Every day there are things to get done and we will put
off the highest priorities if we think we have another day.

A wife told me the other day she had bugged her
husband to put a battery back up on their sub pump.

For months and years she felt frustrated and did not
like feeling like a nag because her husband put her off.

This family had done well in
life and their home very nice.

Their basement was carpeted and had a game room,
trophies from his many hunts and
the furniture came from the finest stores.

I have to admits when I was a
guest in their home I was envious.

Then a storm came and the electrical power went out.

Their lovey home was in the dark and in a
short time water began to fill their basement.

Time had run out.

There was lots of time and the money to
put in a backup power supply to the
sub pump before that storm came…

Time that seemed to be used wisely…

But when the storm came it was too late.

You can’t go back and change your schedule.

Your activities are now a part of history.

This husband should have listened to his wife.

The word “soon” will change your life.

If we want to be blessed, we need to live
every day as if the coming of Christ is tomorrow.

If the soon coming of Christ is tomorrow…

What will change today?

Is there someone you need to talk to about Christ?

Will your earthy assets be embarrassing
when viewed next to your Kingdom assets?

Will your knowledge of God make
you ashamed when you see Him?

Keeping the prophecy, “He is coming soon”…

Must be lived on a daily bases…

Or, you will not be ready.

Let this prophecy become the priority
that motivates you and you will be blessed.
