New Years Day 2014

Psalm 65 starts our year.

It is a refreshing Psalm that reminds us
of how great and wonderful God is.

Psalm 65:11 NIV
You crown the year with your bounty,
and your carts overflow with abundance.

The Psalm starts with its focus on God.

Psalm 65:1-4 NIV
Praise awaits you, O God, in Zion;
to you our vows will be fulfilled.
2 O you who hear prayer,
to you all men will come.
3 When we were overwhelmed by sins,
you forgave our transgressions.
4 Blessed are those you choose

At the start of each year, we generally ask God
to fulfill His faithfulness to us.

But this Psalm starts with focusing on giving praise
to God and fulfilling our vow and commitment to Him.

It is like the Quote... John F. Kennedy 1/20/1961

“My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you,
ask what you can do for your country.”

My fellow Believers, ask not what your
“God who crowns the year with bounty” can do for you,
ask what you can do to fulfill your vow to Him in this year 2014.

God wants to do some wonderful things in 2014.

The Psalmist says in verse 4,
“Blessed are those you choose”

I pray we will be those God chooses to do His will.

“Many are called but few are chosen.”

There is no doubt our bountiful and abundant God
has called you to distribute His miracles.

From Sandy and I, we pray 2014 will be
your most blessed year ever...

Full of the power of God!
