Did you know God crowns each year with bounty

The Hebrew word for Crown is “Atar” meaning to encircle

  

From creation God encircled each year with four seasons

God rules the seasons of your life so you will have a bountiful year

 

Crowning Year of Blessing

The Hebrew word “atar” means

to encircle for attack or protection.

It also means to crown.

In Psalms 65, God “crowns the year”.

God rules over each year…

He divides it up into four seasons.

Each year rotates in such a way

as to make a pattern of a circle…

 Winter, spring, summer, and fall then back to winter.

Although some seasons are milder or harsher than others,

 God’s rule over the seasons has remained the same since creation.

When winter comes, my mind and plans are on Florida.

It is not that I don’t like snow and ice, I think

they give us some of the greatest beauty of the year.

 

I think of Florida because the cold affects my energy.

It is harder for me to get motivated when I am cold.

  

God crowns the year with bounty.

He rules with change…

Seasons are important.

Although you and I may like or dislike

 some seasons, they are valuable to us.

  The farmer who realizes God rules over the year,

 knows that a bountiful harvest time is a process.

While winter is giving rest to the ground, the wise

farmer is making preparations for the rest of the year.

The farmer knows three more seasons are coming.

So you might say, the farmer has faith to

prepare for planting and harvest because…

  God rules over the year.

You and I can be sure God has crowned this year.

He rules over it to attack our enemies and protect us.

Because God “atar” crowns the year, you and I can

count on spring as we go through the cold of winter.

We can also count on the wonderful days of

harvest to end and make way for another winter.

Because God rules so faithfully over the year with bounty… 

The farmer always plans on a harvest

and works all year long with the seasons.

You and I will do well if we do the same.

God rules by seasons in a year and in our lives.

Every season has a divine purpose.

At 14 below zero, God is still ruling with purpose.

Summer will come…

 Make plans and get ready for the next season.
