The Birth of Christ Jesus the True Message of Diversity

The Birth of Christ
Jesus the True Message of Diversity

Jesus’ message has always been summed up in two things
Love God and Love One Another
Yet, there has always been those who hate Jesus and those who follow Him
So when you hear of those who want to remove Christ
From Christmas in the name of diversity
Remember
No one in all history has reached more cultures in love than Jesus
No one has taught diversity more than Jesus and His followers
It is true Jesus does not condone all the actions of people but He still loves them
Jesus still gives people the choice to follow Him or not
There is no greater example of diversity than Jesus

Jesus the True Message of Diversity

It has now been over 2000
years since the birth of Christ.

The documentation of Jesus’
birth is firmly recorded in history.

History records lots of names of people born into this world
who had great impact on a region, a nation, even the world.

Many of those names are in the history books of
our schools and their stories, good or bad.

If we put the most popular names in a hat…

It would be impossible to find another person who
has had more of an impact on the world than Jesus.

Jesus came to the Jewish people.

Although we see He had clashes with them and
ultimately they killed Him, Jesus loved them.

On the cross, Jesus’ love was clearly demonstrated
for those who killed Him when He said…

"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."
Luke 23:34

But Jesus’ name reached throughout the world.

Jesus came into the world because He loved the world.

John 3:16, Romans 5:8

But more than some verses written
in the Bible, we see the name of Jesus
being received in every part of the world.

And we also see His name is still being
rejected in strong hateful ways as it
was when Jesus lived on the earth.

Yet, Jesus’ name is still increasing in the world.

The name of Jesus is still increasing
the same way it increased when Jesus
was walking the face of the earth.

Jesus’ name is being shared in love with good news.

One holiday of the year is celebrated all over the world.

That holiday seems to bring the world together.

The cultures are so different, yet
all are celebrating the Birth of Jesus.

It is hard to imagine that Jesus came
because He loved us and gave us a message
of peace that reaches across cultures and
diversity that some would attack.

There have always been those who attacked Jesus.

Today we hear a cry for diversity.

A cry for diversity without Christianity.

Jesus’ love and message has always been for all people.

Jesus’ message has always been summed up in two things.

Love God and Love One Another.

Yet, there has always been those who
hate Jesus and those who follow Him.

So when you hear of those who want to remove
Christ from Christmas in the name of diversity…

Know this…

No one in all history has reached
more cultures in love than Jesus.

No one has taught diversity
more than Jesus and His followers.

It is true Jesus does not condone all the
actions of people but He still loves them.

Jesus still gives people the
choice to follow Him or not.

There is no greater example of diversity than Jesus.

Scripture Reading NIV

John 3:16-21
6 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.   19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

Romans 5:6-8
6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

 Luke 23:32-34
32 Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed. 33 When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals — one on his right, the other on his left. 34 Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."  And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

Luke 2:13-14
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 "Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

John 14:26-27
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
