Outcome
For Me and My House
In the news we see
lives with bad and evil outcomes
Children and adults
whose outcome is full of pain and has pained others
Joshua said for me and my house we will serve the Lord
Each day we love,
pray, read God’s Word, go to church
Is working miracles
Each day as plain as
it may seem is working toward
The outcome for you
and your family
Today is important
It may seem the same
as yesterday
But if you are
following Jesus you will love the outcome
For Me and My House
My oldest granddaughter, Kylii,
is a senior in high
school.
Kylii played volleyball in her senior year.
At the end of the season before
the game the seniors were honored…
Julie (her mother) took pictures of Kylii
from the time she was a baby till just recently.
With those she made hand paddles for family
and friends to hold as Kylii was honored.
As we all took one of those pictures
we were reminded of the past.
The development in Kylii’s life.
Kylii’s faith has also grown.
She has a personal
relationship with Jesus that
has gotten stronger and deeper each year.
Over those years investments of love, prayer, Church,
Christian School have all been a big part of the outcome.
The way time has gone
by, the other six grand-
children will soon be graduating before I know it.
And we will be looking at
the outcome of their lives.
Sandy and I have made our faith in Jesus
Christ first in our lives and our family.
We have taken Joshua’s motto…
“For me and my house
we will serve the Lord”
Joshua
24:15
For
me, I am excited about the outcome
of
faith in Jesus Christ in my life.
For
my family, I am excited about the
outcome
of faith in Jesus Christ in their lives.
The
outcome of love, prayer, church,
Christian
School has worked miracles.
You
might not think much about today’s prayers,
reading
God’s Word, going to church but…
Each day of living by faith is building.
Each
day of faith is changing things.
Each
day of faith is working miracles.
Each
day of faith is changing
the
outcome for the positive.
It
is changing the outcome of your
life
and the outcome of others.
There
are two roads to faith…
The
one is following your own ideas to faith.
This
is very popular today.
We
believe in God but according
to
what we want to accept.
This
type of faith believes God has to
view
things the way we do so He will
follow
us and bless us along the way.
The
other type of faith is to follow Jesus.
Letting
Jesus show us where He wants us
to
go and what He wants us to do and say.
Just
as there are two roads to
faith
there are two outcomes.
Let
Jesus lead your life daily,
the results will bring the best outcome.
The
best outcome for you
and
the best for your family.
Be
proud of your outcome on graduation day.
Because He who has begun a
good work in you will
complete it
Philippians
1:6
Scripture Reading
Matthew
16:24-28 NIV
24
Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must
deny himself and take up his cross and follow me . 25 For whoever wants to save
his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. 26 What
good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul?
Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of Man is going
to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each
person according to what he has done.
Philippians 1:3-6 NIV
3 I
thank my God every time I remember you. 4 In all my prayers for all of you, I
always pray with joy 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first
day until now, 6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you
will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
