Power Proclaim His Power

Power

Proclaim His Power

You and I take power for granted
The light switch you flipped on last night without even thinking
The turning of the key or the push of a button that started your car
The rising of the sun
All these things have power and we seldom think about it
Don’t take God’s power for granted
Proclaim the power of God
And Give Him Praise

Proclaim His Power

You and I take power for granted.

The light switch you flipped on
last night without even thinking.

The turning of the key or the push
of a button that started your car.

The rising of the sun.

All these things have power
and we seldom think about it.

David King of Israel reflects over time.

In Psalms 68, he reflects on the battles over
time and God’s power to protect His people.

Sometimes in the battle we can’t see the power
of God but looking back we can see His strength
to overcome His enemies and His great mercy.

David after looking at the past says…

Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior,
who daily bears our burdens. Selah

Our God is a God who saves; from the
Sovereign LORD comes escape from death.

Psalm 68:19-20

“who daily bears our burdens”

David’s eyes were opened to God’s daily provision…

God’s strength to carry our load…

To save us from our greatest enemy “death”.

David declared we should
“Praise” God for His power.

We should sing songs of praise.

Our songs should…

 Proclaim the power of God”.

David says…

You are awesome, O God, in your sanctuary;
the God of Israel gives power and strength to his people.
Psalm 68:35

Look into His sanctuary, reflect on what God
has done and you will see He is “Awesome”.

I think one of the reasons I love to read the scriptures is I
am reminded of what He has done, how powerful He is.

God does give power and strength to His people.

David’s life was filled with battles but he also
made sure his life was filled with songs of praise.

What song are you singing today?

You can sing the blues or…

Sing to God, …
sing praise to the Lord,…
to him who rides the ancient skies above,
who thunders with mighty voice.
Proclaim the power of God,
whose majesty is over Israel,
whose power is in the skies.
You are awesome, O God…

If you feel like God is distant, He is in the clouds…

Than lift up your voice.

Give Him loud praise.

Remember what the loud praise
did to the walls of Jericho.
