Power Power of Your Shadow

Power

Power of Your Shadow

Your shadow does exactly what you do
Does what you do in the Light of Jesus
Cause people to want to be in your shadow?

Power of Your Shadow

Shadows are dark reflections of who we are.

I do not spook or get startled easy,
but one night I was doing some work
outside and my shadow startled me.

Shadows are typically
associated with fear and evil.

They are the shape produced by our body when our
body comes between a light source and a surface.

What if your silhouette, outline, shape,
contour or profile had the power to do good?

What if your shadow could bring relief
to others like shade from the hot sun?

What if you had the power to
overshadow situations for good?

Where ever there is
light there are shadows.

Have you ever considered the
power of God’s Light on your life?

Have you ever thought about the shadow
you give because God’s Light is on you?

Are there people who
want to be in your shadow?

They somehow want to be like you
or receive something you have.

We find an amazing thing in
Acts 5 about Peter’s shadow.

Verse 15, first 3 words are “As a result”.

What is about to be
said is because Acts 5:12...

The apostles performed many miraculous
signs and wonders among the people.

In fact what is about to be said
comes on the heels of two people dying
because they lied to the Holy Spirit.

(The judgment of God is a fearful power.)

So, “As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so
that at least Peter's shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by.”

People believed that if Peter’s shadow came
across their sick loved ones or across their
own afflicted bodies they could be healed.

It does not say Peter went to where the sick
were, but it does say they brought the sick to him.

People did the same with Jesus,
they brought the sick to Him.

You were asked a lot of questions about
shadows as you started reading this devotional.

Let me leave you with another question…

Is the power of God shining in your life
in such a way that people come to you
for physical and spiritual healing?

Lord, help us to walk in the power and authority
of your Spirit in such a way that people will
want to be in our shadow cast by your light.
