Power
Power of HOPE
Our God is big
enough not only to fill your cup
But to cause your
heart and mind to overflow with anticipation
How does He do it?
“By the power of the Holy Spirit”
Every good movie,
good book or story has to have anticipation built in
Anticipation, hope,
keeps you engaged to the end
Your story is being
written and you need anticipation
And hope to keep you
engaged to the end
Your anticipation
source is God and He delivers it by the power of the Holy Spirit
Let God fill you
with Anticipation, Hope, Dreams and Vision
And you will have
overflowing joy and peace in your time of waiting
Power of HOPE
Hope according to
Strong’s
Greek definition is
“Anticipation”.
In 1971, Carly Simon came out with
a leading single called, “Anticipation”.
“Anticipation is
keeping me waiting”
Heinz Ketchup through the late 1970s and
into the 1980s used the song in commercials.
Most of us at this point are seeing the ketchup
bottle and hearing the song in our minds.
Hope is Anticipation
Anticipation is generally an expectation with pleasure.
To anticipate is to see the future.
It is vision.
Anticipation can help you avoid an accident.
Anticipation gives endurance.
It is what keeps you in line on Black Friday.
I do not like the cold and knowing I have my
airline tickets for warming weather in February
makes December and January bearable.
Anticipation is a big part of our lives.
If you took the time you would find you
have a long list of things you anticipate.
We can also anticipate things that emotionally hurt.
Anticipation can bring fear…
The doctor’s report, the court date.
The vision of the future is not
always filled with sunshine.
Take a look at these words in Romans 15…
“May the God of hope”
The God of anticipation
God wants us to maximize the
present by anticipating the future.
Like a parent who tells their children
they are taking a trip to Disney.
The days up to the trip are just
as full of excitement as arriving.
God wants to fill you with joy and peace.
“May the God of hope
fill you with
all joy and peace as
you trust in Him”
Wherever you are at today, God
wants to fill you with joy and peace.
Today may be full of sorrow and anxiety…
But today is not your
future.
God wants to fill you with anticipation.
Anticipation that gives us confidence that all things
will work out for the
good for those who love Him.
Our God is big enough not only to fill your cup but to
cause your heart and mind to overflow with anticipation.
How does He do it?
“By the power of the
Holy Spirit”
Every good movie, good book or story
has to have anticipation built in.
Anticipation, hope, keeps you engaged to the end.
Your story is being written and you need
anticipation and hope to keep you engaged to the end.
Your anticipation source is God and He

Let God fill you with…
Anticipation, Hope,
Dreams and Vision
And you will have overflowing joy
and peace in your time of waiting.
Scripture Reading
Romans 15:13 NIV
13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as
you trust in him,
so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy
Spirit.
