The Accuser
Love Greater Than Life
Is there anything you love
more than your own life?
Many of us try to face our fears but the
only way to overcome fear is with love.
When you love God with all your heart and others,
fear will not get in
the way of doing what is right.
The Accuser will have nothing on you.
To overcome fear with love is to overcome the Accuser.
Is there anything you love more than your own life?
What a question.
This is the greatest love to lay down your
life for something or someone else. John 15:13
Military do this every day, but for the rest of us
we don’t stop to think what is worth dying for.
Jesus Christ demonstrated love for
us that was greater than His own life.
His sacrifice of life gives us eternal life as He
conquered not only the fear of death but death itself.
The Accuser could not
find any fault in Him.
Jesus the perfect Lamb of God was able to
take the sins of the world upon Himself.
In doing so He overcame the Accuser.
We too overcome the accuser
as we follow Jesus’ model.
When our love for God and our love for
others become greater than our own life.
When we lose the fear of death because we have
the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Phobias steal life.
Fear keeps us from enjoying life.
I once knew a lady who never
left her house because of fear.
I have known people who have had a
fear of water, spiders, snakes and more.
I have seen people with a fear of failure.
Fear has torment.
It can keep you from enjoying life to the fullest.
The scriptures says perfect love cast out all fear.
The scriptures here are talking about fear of punishment.
Ever been in a situation where no matter what you
did, good or bad, there would be painful consequences.
Perfect love removes the fear of punishment.
That night Jesus was in the Garden of
Gethsemane just before He was arrested.
He faced His fear.
One of the greatest tool the Accuser uses is fear.
Fear has stopped many from doing what is
right and playing into the hand of the Accuser.
But Jesus counted the cost (He did not ignore it).
After a full evaluation, Jesus’s love
for the Father and for the world…
Made the choice to follow through
with laying down His life.
I say follow through because the scriptures clearly
point out this was not a “in the moment discussion”.
Jesus lived His entire life with
a willingness to lay it down.
When you and I live our lives with a willingness
to lay our life down it changes everything.
When the Accuser tries to fill your
life with fear you do not change.
You do not give in.
Many of us try to face our fears but the
only way to overcome fear is with love.

is to overcome the Accuser.

Revelation 12:10-11 NIV
10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
"Now have come the salvation and the power and the
kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Christ.
For the accuser of our brothers,
who accuses them before our God day and night,
has been hurled down.
11 They overcame him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony;
they did not love their lives so much
as to shrink from death.
1 John 4:16-18 NIV
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in
him. 17 In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have
confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. 18
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to
do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
