As a society, do we know that marriage is the right way to proceed?

As a society, do we know that marriage
is the right way to proceed?

Would we be better off without marriage?

If you believe in marriage you better do something about it

Sad to say society is telling us marriage
is not the way for a society to proceed.

Just days before my son got married I was
sharing about it with a group of people.

One man said, “The only good thing about marriage
is it is until death do you part so there is some hope.”

It is too common to hear a husband
 make negative comments like…

“My old lady” or she is a “Ball and Chain”

Or, wives complain their man is being insensitive.

“Men on TV constantly joke about how wives are incredibly expensive,
demanding and overall vacuums of all things fun. By that same token, the
women complain about their fat, lazy, insensitive husbands as they swoon
over their trimmed, manicured and chest-waxed Hollywood counterparts.”

The divorce rate and couples cohabiting all
are saying marriage no longer is relevant.

Now if you are one who believes marriage
is an important part of society’s structure…

If you believe its value of love, family, commitment
are necessary for a happy and peaceful society…

If you believe it is the micro structure of a
nation, even the world, that hold things together…

If you believe children are safer, and grow up with
greater values in a marriage of one husband and one wife…

If you believe children have better grades and
are less disruptive in class and are less likely to
develop behavioral disorders growing up with
a father and mother committed to each other…

If you believe the single biggest indicator of child poverty
is whether both original parents are still together…

If you believe sex in the convent of marriage
is better than Hollywood’s version…

If you believe married couples are more productive
and care more about the environment around them…

If you believe marriage is the core of a healthy society…

Than it is time to speak up.

It is time to be more honest and
vocal about the virtues of marriage.

America need to stop feeding and buying
into the lie that we are being fed.

Marriage when done right makes life
better and our country is better off.

Steven Crowder, a Fox News commentator said…

“If the facts aren’t enough, maybe this’ll help…

Picture coming home every night to your best friend, your greatest fan, and your number one supporter. She (or he) makes each good day better, and each bad day good again. Every day, you get to live what is essentially a 24/7 sleepover party with the greatest friend you’ve ever had.

… Now add sex and sandwiches.”

God says…

“Marriage should be honored by all.”

Maybe it is time for all of us to
give more honor to marriage.

Scripture Reading

Hebrews 13:4 NIV

Marriage should be honored by all,
and the marriage bed kept pure
