The Million Dollar Life

In Glory, gold will be under our feet and Jesus at our side

Knowledge and Understanding
Riches in Glory
Gold, that highly sought after metal, has been
used for jewelry,
coinage and industrial use.
Long before recorded history, gold
has been considered a valuable metal.
In the life time of a Baby Boomer,
gold has grown in value from $35 a Troy
ounce to over $1800 a
Troy ounce.
Even with a pull back from the highs in 2011,
many investors
believe it won’t be long and
new highs will be put on the value of gold.
According to the 2012 beneficiary data
from Social Security,
the average retired
worker receives $1262 in benefits a month.
That is about one ounce of gold in 2013.
Now consider this, God says…
“My God shall supply all your need
according
to His riches in glory by Christ
Jesus.”
For those of us who think of our
needs being meet in hard currency…
Think of the streets of
Heaven are made of gold.
If there were people in heaven so poor they had to live
on the streets, they would sleep on gold every night.
Gold has its beauty but it does
not have its value in heaven.
Gold will be so common we will walk on it.
In heaven, the true value of life will be clearly seen.
It will be Jesus Christ.
For the believer, the inheritance of the saints will
include gold, silver, pearls and other costly gems.
But the architectural design of these structures
will not be the glory
of our inheritance.
It will be the glory of Jesus...
Full of love, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.
Keep your needs in perspective.
Our greatest “Riches
in Glory” is Jesus.
Scripture Reading
Ephesians
1:18-19 NIV
pray also that the eyes of your heart may be
enlightened in
order that
you may know the hope to which he has called you,
the riches
of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and his
incomparably
great power for us who believe.
Philippians
4:19 NKJV
my God shall
supply all your need according
to His
riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Revelation
21:1-3 NIV
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for
the first heaven and
the first
earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw
the Holy
City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for
her husband.
Revelation
21:21 NIV
The twelve
gates were twelve pearls,
each gate
made of a single pearl.
The great
street of the city was of pure gold,
like
transparent glass.
