Independence

The Million Dollar Life

By William M. Self, Sr.

If you, a family, business even this great nation, America

Does not stand fast in faith towards God

We will return to dependence and bondage

Independence

The forming of this great nation was
a battle for freedom and independence.

Freedom from Spiritual bondage, control and slavery.

It was spiritual faith that gave courage to our early fathers.

Their courage gave us liberty.

Liberty allowed the God-given talents and abilities
of men and women to prosper in abundance.

From the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden,
it is the nature of everything to decay and die.

History reveals the rise and fall of many great
 nations, families, businesses, churches, etc.

From great abundance, people become
selfish and this leads to complacency.

It is in this stage where people are more
concerned for their own good…

Their own agenda, rather than the common good.

Eventually, the exercise of good, leads
to a break down and lack of energy.

Apathy takes over like a frog
in a kettle of water over a fire.

Morals and the discernment of right and wrong
are like a clear stream, but a muddy river.

When the moral compass is lost,
we lose the “IN” in Independence.

Dependence it is a true sign of death.

Dependence has its focus on
 entitlements and welfare.

Dependence leads to bondage, slavery.

What are you celebrating on July 4th?

Is it spiritual faith and great courage?

Are you using your liberty to
fulfill your God-given purpose?

Are you living the life of abundance?

Or, has the vision for the common good
been over taken with selfishness.

Independence and liberty starts
with the “good fight of faith”.

Keep your independence never look to government,
business, family, church, etc. to meet your need.

Have faith in God.

Be a producer – Not a consumer.

Scripture Reading

Ephesians 1:17-19 NIV
18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe.

Galatians 5:1 KJV
5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

1 Timothy 6:11-13 NIV
11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.   12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13 In the sight of God, who gives life to everything
