Purpose Good Works

The Million Dollar Life

By William M. Self, Sr.

Why would God want to make you abound

“So that in all things at all times, having all that you need?

Purpose Good Works

It is so…

You will abound in every good work.”

Purpose of prosperity.

Most of us want to get rich quick.

We want God to pour out His blessings on us now.

There is no doubt God is able to bless you and make you rich.

In fact, The Bible says is this way…

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you,
so that in all things at all times, having all that you need”

Now that is cool, having… “All things at all times”

Now why would God want you to abound like that?

God gives us the answer…

“So you will abound in every good work.”

The answer is “Work”

Remember Adam and Eves’
propose in the Garden of Eden?

It was to care for it and when evening
came to spend time with God.

God says… He who is faithful over a little I will give him much.

It is the sowing and reaping principle
we find in the context of 2 Corinthians 2
where God says… He is able to make us abound.

God has made everything with a need to give and receive.

It is our need to receive that keeps us humble.

But our ability to give comes from a life that is self-sufficient.

The Garden of Eden was not a welfare state.

It was God’s provision for Adam and Eve
and they were responsible to take care of it.

God’s blessing is for “every good work”.

As my family and I try to make a living, I tell them this…

“Never focus on the money, focus on the service.”

If you provide what people need and
want, they will come back to you.

Remember God does not want you to give
“reluctantly or under compulsion”.

So don’t offer services where people have
to give to you “reluctantly or under compulsion”.

Make people happy to give to you because you
are going to continue to “abound in every good work”.

Are you short on change to do every good work?

Then sow generously.

Scripture Reading

Ephesians 1:18-19 NIV
18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may
be enlightened in order that you may know
the hope to which he has called you, the riches
of his glorious inheritance in the saints

2 Corinthians 9:6-9 NIV
6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion,
for God loves a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
