Three
Point Focal Points
Safety
comes through a three point contact
There
are three points we must focus on in life
The
combination of three gives us stability in many applications
When
it comes to life, I believe there are three points of focus
These
three points are critical to everything in life
The
purpose of life stands on how you focus on these three points
The
first point is “Creation”
The
beginning of everything
All
of us have to answer the question of how did life begin
The second point of focus is the “Resurrection
of Christ”
History
tells us there was a man named Jesus who came back from the dead
The
third point of focus is “The Teachings of Jesus”
One
of the best ways to focus on the teachings of Jesus
Is
to read the Sermon on the Mount
Make
sure these three points of focus are in clear focus
And
help others by keeping the message simple
Three
Point Focal Points
The word Focus is used
a lot and for good reason.
Things that are not clear or in focus
are hard to make out or understand.
If you have used a camera or
wear glasses, you understand the
importance of bringing things into focus.
For us to do life well, we
need to be able to focus.
Whether it is focusing on an object or
issues, we need focus to do things right.
Focus centers on one thing…
The main
thing.
Sometimes finding the one thing to focus
on is hard because life has so many facets.
There is something to be said
about the stability of three points.
Safety in the work force
and at home is great advice.
Engineers have learned that towers with three
legs are stronger than those with more or less.
Writers understand comprehension is best
achieved when you keep within three points.
The combination of three gives
us stability in many applications.
When it comes to life I believe
there are three points of focus.
These three points are
critical to everything in life.
The purpose of life stands on how
you focus on these three points.
The first point is “Creation”.
The beginning of everything.
All of us have to answer the
question of how did life begin.
Because none of us were there
and it was so long ago, focus on
“Creation” can be out of focus.
Never the less, how we focus
on “The Beginning”
is the first point of stability in life.
Although there are many views that have
focused on “Creation” there are two that stand out…
The Evolution and Creation theories.
Narrowing
down the beginning to
two theories helps dial in the focus.
The second point of focus
is the “Resurrection of Christ”.
History tells us there was a man named Jesus.
Because Jesus Christ claimed to
be God and came back from the dead…
We must focus
on this event…
the
Resurrection.
The third point of focus
is “The Teachings of Jesus”.
One of the best ways to focus on the teachings
of Jesus is to read the Sermon on the Mount.
This Sermon reveals the message of Jesus.
If you focus on the Sermon on the Mount,
you will get
clarity to what Jesus, who
claimed to be God, was trying to help us see.
These three focus points…
Creation, Resurrection, Sermon
are the three legs of stability.
There are a lot of things in life we can focus
on and a lot of clouds to blur our vision.
These three points of focus all have to be
dealt with in order to properly build a tower.
One of the greatest purposes
of towers is to communicate.
For the Christian, we need to help others
focus on the three points of focus.
Everyone who wants to be in
focus must look at the Beginning.
Did life evolve out of nothing
or was there a creator?
Throughout history there has never been
a claim more worth focusing on than
the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
History, the writers in the Bible
and the largest religion in the world,
all claim Jesus’ resurrection to be a fact.
Did this Jesus Christ really
come back from the dead?
The third point of focus is important
even if a person’s focus is on evolution
and no God or resurrection…
Would we all be better off if we
followed the Sermon on the Mount?
Everyone believes in something.
If your beliefs have not focused
on these three points of focus…
Then it would
be wise to take time to open
your eyes to how we get here, “The Beginning”.
Is there a “resurrection”, life after death, and
are the teachings of Jesus a good way to live life?
For me…
The Beginning
reveals there is a God.
The Resurrection reveals Jesus is that God.
The Sermon on the Mount
reveals common sense to living life.
I have met many who don’t believe in
God and even hate those who believe.
Their focus is blurred.
So often we find people who don’t believe
in God or in Jesus and many times it is
because they have not taken time to focus.
Time to focus on the facts.
So maybe helping people to focus is to
ask which of the points in the Sermon
on the Mount do you disagree with?
I think there are few who would disagree with
the message of the Sermon on the Mount.
Maybe focusing on what Jesus preached will
open eyes to see who He is and where He is from.
These three focus points have
been the stability of my life.
They have given me the ability to become
a strong tower and allowed me to communicate
across the interference that keeps people confused.
Make sure these three points
of focus are in clear focus.
And help
others by
keeping the message simple.
Scripture
Reading
Genesis 1:1 NIV
1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the
earth.
1 Corinthians 15:3-8 NIV
3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first
importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that
he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,
5 and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. 6 After that, he
appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of
whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to
James, then to all the apostles, 8 and last of all he appeared to me also, as
to one abnormally born.
Matthew 5:3-10 NIV
3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for
righteousness,
for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called sons of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of
righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
