Pandemic Gratefulness What Are You Thankful For?

Pandemic Gratefulness
What Are You Thankful For?

I can’t imagine God making us without the ability to be thankful
What a gift
A gift we can freely open and enjoy anytime, even in a pandemic
God has given you the gift, the ability to be thankful, so let’s use it
Let’s make a list of the things we are thankful for
Let’s share with others how thankful we are for them
Let’s express our thankfulness in everything for this is the will of God
He gave you the ability to give thanks
And an innumerable amount of things to be thankful for
35 times the KJV Bible reminds us to give thanks
Don’t let grumpy ruin your day

What Are You Thankful For?

In the midst of growing numbers of
people effected by the coronavirus…

In increasing economic concern…

The level of cabin fever is bringing
out the grumpy side of people.

The question has come up in the
midst of the Coronavirus Pandemic.

The question is a good question because
it helps us stay focused on the positive
and gets our minds off negative.

The question is…

What are you thankful for?

Pastor Chad from Calvary Church, Maumee, Ohio,
asked listeners to the April 26th on-line
message to submit their answer to the question…

What are you thankful for?

Those hundreds of answers were
then put digitally into a collage.

The day before, my answer was “my barber”.

As my hair has not been this long since the
60’s when in 1968 the song “Hair” was a big hit.

I feel like a Corona Hippy.

But as I thought about the Pastor’s question…

What are you thankful for?

I thought of more things than I could count.

It was like a world of happiness filled my mind.

Then one thing stood out above everything else.

It was this…

“The ability to be thankful.”

What a gift…

God has given us the ability to be thankful.

According to Disney in Snow White
and the 7 Dwarfs, one out of 7 is Grumpy.

I can’t imagine God making us
without the ability to be thankful.

What a gift.

A gift we can freely open and
enjoy anytime, even in a pandemic.

God has given you the gift, the
ability to be thankful, so let’s use it.

Let’s make a list of the
things we are thankful for.

Let’s share with others how
thankful we are for them.

Let’s express our thankfulness in
everything for this is the will of God.

He gave you the ability to give thanks and an
innumerable amount of things to be thankful for.

35 times the KJV Bible reminds us to give thanks.

Don’t let grumpy ruin your day.

Scripture Reading

1 Thessalonians 5:18-19 KJV

18 In every thing give thanks: for this is
the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

19 Quench not the Spirit.
