Opportunity
The Bible tells us to
make the most of every opportunity
I heard a pastor
asked this question
What is it you would
like to do in this season of Pandemic?
When the pandemic has
passed or life starts to get back to your regular schedule?
What is it that you
would feel bad about not doing in this season?
Everything is normal
until it gets recognition
Think about your
normal day than add someone’s smile as they see you
All of a sudden that
moment is special
Its spring and you
will walk or drive by thousands of beautiful flowers
Some as big as trees
others, lonely little strangers
Take time to notice
each one
The people around you
are worth more than any flower
And with your love
and encouragement you can make them blossom
It is your Opportunity
Opportunity
The Bible tells us to make
the most of every opportunity.
I heard a pastor asked this question…
What is it you would like to
do in this season of Pandemic?
When the pandemic has passed or life
starts to get back to your regular schedule?
What is it that you would feel bad
about not doing in this season?
Would you have wished you had made more
phone calls to find out how others are doing?
And to let them know you
were thinking of them?
Would you have wished you had
taken the time to pray?
Or, do a study in God’s
Word to
answer some personal question?
Everything is normal
until it gets recognition.
Think about your normal day…
Then add someone’s
smile as they see you.
All of a sudden that moment is special.
Normal can be changed so easily
to special with taking the opportunity.
Yesterday was Mother’s Day…
Just another Sunday
until
opportunities were taken.
Each of our children stopped
over with a gift for Sandy to
wish her a Happy Mother’s Day.
We took time to listen to each other and to ask
questions which made that person feel special.
To change normal into special doesn’t
have to be hard or costly…
It just takes
“Recognition”.
This spring I made it my goal
to recognize the signs of spring.
I took pictures of the tree and flowers blooming.
I know that even
though I had a lot
of things to do, I needed to get
outside at just the right time.
I needed to make sure I was taking the
pictures when the sun was out and
before the wind and rain removed the flowers.
I had to make the most of those windows
of opportunity in order to capture the special.
Don’t let your day be normal…
Make it special.
Make the most of every opportunity.
Say a kind and encouraging word.
When you need to go on an errand,
invite a child to go
with you or a
friend because you want their company.
Making the most of every opportunity,
what will that be for you today?
What will you move from normal to
special be for you in
this pandemic?
Let’s take a practice
run at this right now.
Go to the closest person to you
or pick up your phone
and in
some simple way say a kind word.
Tell them you love
them and why.
Turn the next 10 minutes of normal into special.
Then keep it up all day long.
This spring you will walk or drive
by thousands of beautiful flowers.
Some as big as trees,
others, lonely little strangers.
Take time to notice each one.
The people around you are worth
more than any flower…
And with your love and encouragement,
you can make them
blossom.
Scripture Reading
Ephesians 5:15-18 NIV
15 Be very careful, then, how you live — not as unwise but
as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17
Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.
