Being
Successful
The
Test of a Man
When God made man He said it
was not good for man to be alone.
God made the woman with such a
beauty that man would be attracted to her.
Whether a man is young or old the
beauty of a woman will get his attention.
I believe Eve was the most beautiful woman.
Adam was so fulfilled with his love for her.
Adam’s discernment, his knowledge,
everything God had taught him was tested when
his lovely wife Eve offered him the forbidden fruit.
Everything God created is good
but has the potential of corruption.
The Book of Proverbs warns men of
the adulteress and the wayward woman.
Proverbs 7:14 tells us of a married
woman who just came from church.
She gave her offering and brought home
leftover food she took to the church lovefeast.
This woman is wanting attention
she is not getting from her husband.
An undiscerning young man accepts her kind
invitation to continue the church lovefeast in her
home.
This young
man takes off his understanding and
discernment long before he takes off his clothes.
Her offer of lovemaking all night long is too much
to resist.
Proverbs 6:31 says, “if he is caught”.
When we question our ability to get away
with something, we are in trouble.
“Yet if he (A thief) is caught, he must pay
sevenfold,
though
it costs him all the wealth of his house.
But
a man who commits adultery has no sense;
whoever
does so destroys himself.”
Proverbs 6:31,32
All the wisdom of God was imparted to Adam and Eve.
Proverbs 8 describes how we were created by God’s
wisdom and everything God made was made by wisdom.
Yet, Eve this beautiful woman created by
and surrounded by wisdom, was deceived.
The ultimate test to Adam to whether he would
retain the wisdom of God did not come from Satan…
It came through the woman.
The point is not that women are evil…
The point for a man is we must see beyond beauty and
our lust.
The point for a woman is what type of woman not to
be.
We must use the teachings and commands
of God as tools of insight and discernment.
Taking off your discernment and insight
for a short time can ruin the rest of your life.

Reading
Proverbs 6:20-35
Proverbs 6:20-35
My son, keep your father’s command
and do not forsake your mother’s
teaching.
21 Bind them always on your heart;
fasten them around your neck.
22 When you walk, they will guide you;
when you sleep, they will watch over
you;
when you awake, they will speak to you.
23 For this command is a lamp,
this teaching is a light,
and correction and instruction
are the way to life,
24 keeping you from your neighbor’s wife,
from the smooth talk of a wayward woman.
25 Do not lust in your heart after her beauty
or let her captivate you with her eyes.
26 For a prostitute can be had for a loaf of bread,
but another man’s wife preys on your
very life.
27 Can a man scoop fire into his lap
without his clothes being burned?
28 Can a man walk on hot coals
without his feet being scorched?
29 So is he who sleeps with another man’s wife;
no one who touches her will go
unpunished.
30 People do not despise a thief if he steals
to satisfy his hunger when he is
starving.
31 Yet if he is caught, he must pay sevenfold,
though it costs him all the wealth of
his house.
32 But a man who commits adultery has no sense;
whoever does so destroys himself.
33 Blows and disgrace are his lot,
and his shame will never be wiped away.
34 For jealousy arouses a husband’s fury,
and he will show no mercy when he takes
revenge.
35 He will not accept any compensation;
he will refuse a bribe, however great it
is.
