Being Successful “It Is Good”

Being Successful
“It Is Good”

God shows us the pattern for successes

In God’s work of creation He managed the project into days

At the end of each day He looked at his labor and said, “It is Good”

In the sixth day God saw something was not good

Rising to the challenge of making man complete God made woman

And at the end of the sixth day God said, “It is Very Good”

We too should evaluate our work daily and weekly

With an eye for perfection in all we do

“It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Colossians 3:24

“It Is Good”

God said at the end of each day of creation, “It is Good”.

God saw everything He made as good.

Just take this in for a moment…

Remember a hard day working on a project,
something you really wanted to accomplish.

Remember finishing up in the evening and
sitting back just looking at the finished project.

That is a good feeling.

God took time to look at each day’s work and appreciate it.

I find myself in my evening prayer time
wanting to thank God for the things He has
given me the ability to accomplish that day.

Because…

Accomplishment is a “good” feeling.

I wonder if looking at the good God created
He found motivation for the next day.

God divided His week into manageable days.

Management is necessary for a good outcome.

Many of us fail to get started because we are overwhelmed.

We have not divided the project into manageable parts.

It was not until the sixth day God saw some-
thing in what He created that was not good.

God did not look at that with discouragement.

He looked at what was not good as an opportunity.

Being a man I can appreciate what God did.

God made the most beautiful thing
ever to walk on the face of the earth.

He made Eve.

Can you imagine the first woman before sin.

No wonder Adam said…

“WOW!!! Man” and called her “Woman”.

After God had made man and woman at the end
of the sixth day, God said, “It is Very Good”.

God has an eye for perfection and
delights in that being His goal.

We too need to set our goal on perfection to be successful.

Our focus must be on what is good.

When we see something not good, we fix it.

God took time every day to evaluate His work.
Each day He saw it was good.

At the end of creation God said, “It is Very Good”.

We too should evaluate our work every day.

If we have a day that we see in our work
something not good, that is our opportunity.

If we on a daily bases work for “good”,
at the end of the week we can look at
our work and say, “It is very good”.

We should remember…

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord,
since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.
It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Colossians 3 23

Scripture Reading

Genesis 1
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
27 So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.
And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

Colossians 3:23-24
23Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
