You will not be successful without these friends here are their names

Understanding

These friends are well described in the Book of Proverbs

They will bring great benefit to you and your life

if they become your best friends

Beneficial Friends

We all like the word Benefits.

We love benefits in the form of financial payments or gifts.

When tragedy takes place,

 we like the insurance benefits.

Pension plans, free health insurance, holiday and sick pay…

Who would turn these benefits down?

In Proverbs 2, God shares with us four things which

will benefit us more than any employer’s benefit package.

“For wisdom will enter your heart,

and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.

Discretion will protect you,

and understanding will guard you.”

Proverbs 2:10-11

The teachings of the Lord, if applied, will give you four things.

These four things have an important place in you.

Wisdom belongs in the Heart.

Knowledge brings delightful, beautiful,

lovely thoughts to the Soul.

Discretion protects as it points us

in the right direction of purpose.

 

Understanding is the intelligence and insight,

 it gives us the ability to see what makes sense.

These Four Amigos will bring benefits,

short term and long term.

They will protect you from wicked men, their

fraudulent words and their crooked dark paths.

They will protect you from the adulteress woman,

seductive words and covenant breaking.

The Four Amigos, friends, will help…

“… you will walk in the ways of the good

and keep to the paths of the righteous.

For the upright will live in the land,

and the blameless will remain in it;

but the wicked will be cut off from the land,

and the unfaithful will be torn from it.

 Be sure you let the Lord introduce you to these friends.

Be sure you get to know them and

keep them close to you at all times.

You will not be successful without these

friends so let me give you their names again…

“My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight,

preserve sound judgment and discretion; they will be life for you”

Proverbs 3:21

 You will find these four friends are very

popular throughout the Book of Proverbs.

Scripture Reading

Proverbs 2: 6-22

For the LORD gives wisdom;

from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

7 He holds success in store for the upright,

he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,

8 for he guards the course of the just

and protects the way of his faithful ones.

9 Then you will understand what is right and just

and fair—every good path.

10 For wisdom will enter your heart,

and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.

11 Discretion will protect you,

and understanding will guard you.

12 Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men,

from men whose words are perverse,

13 who have left the straight paths

to walk in dark ways,

14 who delight in doing wrong

and rejoice in the perverseness of evil,

15 whose paths are crooked

and who are devious in their ways.

16 Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman,

from the wayward woman with her seductive words,

17 who has left the partner of her youth

and ignored the covenant she made before God.[fn]

18 Surely her house leads down to death

and her paths to the spirits of the dead.

19 None who go to her return

or attain the paths of life.

20 Thus you will walk in the ways of the good

and keep to the paths of the righteous.

21 For the upright will live in the land,
