For to Us a Child is Born

The Blessing

 “I am again in the pains of childbirth

until Christ is formed in you”

Galatians 4:19

So that

“The increase of his government and

 peace there will be no end.”

Isaiah 9:7

 

For to Us a Child is Born

To Sandy and I, three children were born…

Sarah, Julie, and Marty

From them was born…

 Kylii, Lexi, Tori, and Kenzi

This morning Kylii was going out

 to start the car for her mother.

 

I realized it won’t be long

and she will be driving.

How fast the children born unto us grow up.

As I pondered what my children have become,

 I realized how blessed I am and how proud I am.

At Christmas time, we remember Jesus Christ

 coming into the world as a child…

“For to us a child is born” 

He grew up to be everything

 Isaiah 9:6 said He would be…

“And He will be called

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

The Apostle Paul speaks of a strange thing…

 “My dear children, for whom I am again in the

pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you”

Galatians 4:19 NIV

Has the birth of Christ taken place in you?

How is Christ growing in you?

We understand the growing in Christ in us

by the control He has over our lives.

As He grows in our lives, we place the

 governing of our lives on His shoulders.

Four powerful attributes control

everything we do and say…

   

“Wonderful Counselor,

Mighty God,

Everlasting Father,

 Prince of Peace.”

Like babies grow up so fast, so

Christ can grow up in you and I.

As He does…

“The increase of His government

and peace there will be no end.”

“For to us a child is born,

to us a son is given”

Let Him grow up in you.
