The Blessing

The blessing and favor of God is to
Draw out of you your full potential
For it is Christ in YOU the hope of glory
Last night I had a senior
moment.
I was playing Euchre with my family.
I had a loner hand with both bowers
and ace for trump and two other aces.
The first trick I trumped with the left bower.
Then led with the right bower.
After that, I led an
ace instead of the trump ace
‘hoping to draw out the left bower’, and lost that trick.
I got one point instead of four.
We laughed till we cried because
I forgot I
had played the left bower.
Some of us have lost more than our memory over the
last year or years and we have cried without laughter.
For you the game of life stopped or
you have not played it to the fullest.
God never intended your life to be
anything but full of His blessing.
God has planned for your life to always be new and full.
In Christ we are new, the old
is gone and the new has come.
When God made you, He made you as a gift.
Like the gifts that are wrapped inside of each other.
Inside of you are unopened gifts…
Potential you have not yet tapped into.
Inside of the believer is “Christ the hope of glory”.
You and I have not yet become all we were meant to be.
This hope of glory inside of you is crying out.
“Now is the time of
God's favor” 2 Corinthians
6:2
Moses said after 40 years wandering in the desert…
“May the favor of the
Lord our God rest upon us;
establish the work of
our hands for us —
yes, establish the
work of our hands.” Psalm
90:17
The favor of God is upon you…
To unwrap the gifts and potential God placed in you.
You and I are destined for a great year if we are willing to…
Unwrap the God-given potential inside us.
Moses’ potential was just starting to get unwrapped at age
80.
It is a New Year for New Potential.
Are you willing in the year to come to be all God wants you
to be?
