Freedom and Confidence to Enter
The White House is 54,000 square feet
You may live in the land of the free
You may be able to show your taxes pay for the upkeep of the White House
But with all the confidence you have no matter how well you think you can talk your way in, out, and through a situation
You are not getting past the guards
Do you know how many square feet there are in God’s house?
Paul prayed for you to know how large…Read Ephesians 3:17-20
I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge — that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine,
Which house do you want freedom and confidence to be in?
The White House or God’s House?
Freedom and Confidence to Enter
Where does confidence come from?
How can you obtain confidence?
Some people just take confidence.
They walk around with an arrogance
that is offensive.
Imagine walking into the nation’s White House.
You get up in the morning…
Leave your humble house of less than 4000 sq feet
Drive on the roads that someone else made
And come to the fence at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.,
NW, Washington, DC 20500.
You are now looking past the fence
at the 54,900 square foot White House.
How far will your confidence be able to
take you to get into the White House?
You may live in the land of the free.
You may be able to show your taxes
pay for the upkeep of the White House.
But with all the confidence you have
no matter how well you think you can
talk your way in, out, and through a
situation, you are not getting past the guards.
But people do get into the White house.
You can say there are people who put their
pants on just like you in the morning, people
no better than you are, in the White House…
But it will still not get you in.
The Apostle Paul talks about a “Freedom
and Confidence” to enter before God.
Paul sets the scene and describes himself
in verses 7 and 8 of Ephesians 3
before he tells us about entering
with “Freedom and Confidence”.
Paul says…
I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God's grace given me through the working of his power. 8 Although I am less than the least of all God's people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ…
Paul sees himself as a servant,
as one of the least of God’s people.
Grace is given to people to enter the White House.
Diplomats are invited and come with escorts.
Their freedom in the White House is
very limited, they are only guests.
Think about it…
The servant is given a greater grace
and freedom than the diplomat.
Greater grace is given to the cleaning
lady, than the leaders of other countries.
Paul says in verse 13…
In him and through faith in him we may approach
God with freedom and confidence.
When God sees your faith in Him,
He gives you grace, favor to approach
Him with freedom and confidence.
You may have voted for the president
because you have faith He will take
care of all your needs…
But you do not have the freedom and
confidence to enter the White House.
On the other hand, you put your faith in God
to take care of all your needs and you have
the freedom and confidence to enter His house.
Do you know how many square
feet there are in God’s house?
Paul prayed for you to know how large.

Ephesians 3:7-19 NIV
7 I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God's grace given me through the working of his power. 8 Although I am less than the least of all God's people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9 and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things. 10 His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, 11 according to his eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. 12 In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence . 13 I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.
14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge — that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
