Come, Lord Jesus
"If they keep quiet, the stones will cry out"
There are many groups who hate Christians
Many who do not want Jesus’ government of justice and righteousness
Even though they cry out for their form of justice
When Christians, Disciples of Christ, stand up for what is right
According to God’s Word, there is backlash
But true followers of Jesus cannot help but declare the blessing of Jesus
Being the King and Lord of their lives
This does not give them the right to be arrogant
But in humility, stand for the Truth of God
The government of God, the preaching of the Kingdom
Will make some uncomfortable
The Church from the beginning has faced persecution
But Jesus said to those uncomfortable about the crowd crying out
"Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!"
Jesus said to those who wanted to keep His Lordship quiet
"I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."
If you find Jesus being Lord of your life a blessing
Than let others know about the blessing
If they keep quiet, the stones will cry out
Jesus born of a virgin with the
government on His shoulders…
To reign on David's throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
Isaiah 9:7
At the end of Jesus’
earthly ministry…
A week before His death on the
cross an amazing thing happened.
Jesus says…
“The Lord needs a colt.”
The disciples go get the colt that
had never been ridden on before.
They put their cloaks on the
colt and sat Jesus on the colt.
Jesus descended down the Mt of Olives a…
“Crowd of disciples began joyfully to
praise God in loud voices for all
the miracles they had seen:”
Luke 19:37
They cried out…
"Blessed is the king who comes
in the name of the Lord!"
"Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"
If you look at Matthew 23:39, you will
see Jesus tells the religious leaders…
For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say,
‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord’.
Matthew 23:39
Here we see the people making the declaration…
"Blessed is the king who comes
in the name of the Lord!"
Interesting that some were nervous
about this declaration and said…
Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus,
"Teacher, rebuke your disciples!"
Luke 19:39
The Lordship and law or government of
God makes some people nervous.
According to Wikipedia…
65% of polled American adults identifying themselves as Christian in 2019.
In a 2015 survey, 75% of adults in the United States identified themselves as Christians, 70.6% in 2014, 78% in 2012, 81.6% in 2001, and 85% in 1990.
About 62% of those polled claim to be members of a church congregation.
Declaring…
"Blessed is the king who comes
in the name of the Lord!"…
In America this makes some nervous.
Stating separation of Church and State.
Yet, Jesus is King,
He is King of Kings
and Lord of Lords.
There are many groups who hate Christians.
Many who do not want Jesus’ government
of justice and righteousness even though
they cry out for their form of justice.
When Christians, Disciples of Christ,
stand up for what is right according
to God’s Word, there is backlash.
But true followers of Jesus cannot
help but declare the blessing of Jesus
being the King and Lord of their lives.
This does not give them
the right to be arrogant…
But in humility stand
for the truth of God.

True peace only comes when Jesus is Lord.
Of the increase of his government and peace
there will be no end.
