Come, Lord Jesus
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord”
There are a lot of wonderful names the Bible gives to describe the Messiah
The One who came as a child
But unless you and I know Him as Lord
As Ruler of the kings of the earth and King of your life and mine
We cannot be saved
If we really want to see the return of the Lord Jesus Christ, we need to confess
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord”
Jesus’ return will not happen until
His people are excited about Jesus being Lord, His rule and government
Is it ok for Jesus to deal with the unjust things in your life?
Is it ok to let Jesus decide what is right?
Romans 10:10 says, “It is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”
Remember Jesus said
For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say,
‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord’. Matthew 23:39
Do you know the blessing of letting the Lord
Make the decisions in, and for, your life?
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord”
The second to the last
verse in the Bible says…
He who testifies to these things says,
"Yes, I am coming soon."
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
Revelation 22:21
Jesus says…
“I am coming soon”
And John says…
“Amen. Come, Lord Jesus”
It seems our desire for Jesus
to return increases
when life gets troubled.
When life is good,
we are not in such a hurry.
I remember when I was
dating Sandy, I was very much
looking for the Lord’s return…
But I prayed God would wait a
little while so we could marry.
How quickly do you want the Lord to return?
Isaiah prophesied the coming of the Messiah.
He said…
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6
I love to read…
And He will be called
Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God,
Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace.
I love to call Him…
Savior,
Redeemer,
Friend,
Helper
I love to think of Jesus in these ways.
I think sometimes we
fail to see Him as Lord.
Isaiah says…
“And the government will be on his shoulders.”
Of the increase of his government and peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on David's throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the LORD Almighty
will accomplish this.
Isaiah 9:7
He upholds His Kingdom
with justice and righteousness.
Throughout the Book of Isaiah,
we read many amazing promises
concerning what God will do for His people.
But the Book shows God dealing
in justice and righteousness.
God allowed the Assyrians to
take His people into captivity…
And Babylon to destroy Judah.
In Matthew 23, Jesus is
rebuking the religious leaders.
At the conclusion of the chapter,
Jesus tells us when He is coming again…
For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say,
‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord’.
Matthew 23:39
Jesus is not coming back
until the religious leaders say…
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.”
Romans 10:9 & 10 tells us all…
We must confess Jesus as “Lord” to be saved.
