Come Lord Jesus
“Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book”
In Revelation 22:7, the first of 3 times Jesus says “I am coming soon”
He says, "Behold, I am coming soon!
Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book." Revelation 22:7
Blessed is he who keeps the words of prophecy
If you are like me there are a lot of things in the Book of Revelation that are hard to understand Lampstands, Books, Strange Creatures, Battles, Plagues and more
We must remember who the Words were written to
The Seven Churches in Asia
Keeping the words of the prophecy are
Doing the things God speaks to these Seven Churches
Because Jesus said
“Behold, I am coming soon!”
“Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book”
At the end of the Bible…
The conclusion of the conclusion
of John’s revelation of Jesus Christ.
The last chapter Jesus
speaks 4 words 3 times…
“I am coming soon.”
The words coming soon
should get our attention.
Every year Sandy and I
go to Florida for two months.
In the spring, after we have
just gotten back from Florida…
Our focus is upon our home in Ohio,
our family and the activities
of living in the north.
As the year goes on…
I begin to think more about Florida
especially at the end of October.
When the leaves are turning and the air is
getting colder, I am ready to fly
in the clouds to my happy warm place.
As the weather becomes increasingly cloudy
and the air colder, I realize I must make
preparations because the time to leave
for warm, sunny Florida is approaching.
In Revelation 22, each time Jesus says
“I am coming soon”…
He gives us a message relating to His return.
In Revelation 22:7,
the first of 3 times Jesus says,
“I am coming soon”, He says…
"Behold, I am coming soon!”
“Blessed is he who keeps the words
of the prophecy in this book."
Revelation 22:7
Blessed is he who keeps the words of prophecy.
If you are like me there are a lot of things
in the Book of Revelation
that are hard to understand…
Lampstands, Books, Strange Creatures,
Battles, Plagues and more.
Things that relate to old Jewish
religious history and events.
Is keeping the words of the
prophecy difficult to understand?
I don’t think so.
We must go back the beginning of the Book.
Revelation 1:1-4…
The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who testifies to everything he saw — that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.
John,
To the seven churches in the province of Asia:
In verse 4, we see who the
Book was written to…
The Seven Churches of Asia.
What was written to them was verse 2…
The Word of God and
the testimony of Jesus Christ.
The testimony of Jesus Christ is related
to the 3rd “I am coming soon”…
Revelation 22:20 which will be covered
when we get there at another time.
It is not just the Seven Churches in Asia
who will be blessed if they keep the
Word of God…
The words of this prophecy are for anyone who
keeps them and they will be blessed even though
the focus is on the Seven Churches.
If we look at these Seven Churches,
we will see strengths and
weaknesses in them.
These churches, people like you and I,
living in different times, yet with
the same strengths and weaknesses.
Chapters 3 and 4 of Revelation
describe these Seven Churches.
For the blessing spoken of in Revelation,
you will need to read and meditate on
the complete reading of Chapters 3 and 4.
But here is a brief summary…

to know, it is something to live.
“Behold I am coming soon.”
The words of this prophesy is a
word to the Seven Churches in Asia.
God’s Words to them is the same word to us.
Don’t get lost in what you don’t understand.
Live what you do understand.
