Thinking Your Thinking Controls Your Future

Thinking
Your Thinking Controls Your Future

Thinking, we all do it
Some might question that, but we all think
Your thinking controls who you are and your future
The Bible says
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,"
 declares the LORD. Isaiah 55:8
Our hope is, God has given those who put their trust in Him, His Spirit
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God 1 Corinthians 2:16
"For who has known the mind of the Lord
that he may instruct him?"
But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16
How we think shapes our future now and for eternity
Let this mind that was in Jesus Christ be in you
Let the Spirit of God stretch your thinking

Your Thinking Controls Your Future

Thinking, we all do it.

Some might question that, but we all think.

Your thinking controls who
you are and your future.

Thinking is processed differently in each one of us.

Some of us are more analytical
while others are more creative.

We were all born of a woman,
but from that point our joys and
pains in life are different and
those things effected how we think.

Our resources from birth also are different,
effecting our education and the way we think.

Some love to think while others say
thinking gives them a headache.

There are people who have rubbed two nickels
together and made millions and others who
won millions in the lottery and lost it all.

And the difference was the way they think.

There are analytical minded people who end up
with paralysis of analysis and others who
built empires coordinating hundreds of pieces.

Creative thinkers who dream of the world, but go
nowhere and others who turn dreams into reality.

They say no decision is a decision.

Every decision we make affects our future.

That can be frightening when we have to
make hundreds of decisions every day.

The “What Ifs” in our thoughts
can be negative or positive.

We have to be aware that our perception
of reality may not be reality and our
perception of reality can become our
new norm, a bubble we live in.

The Bible tells us that what is in
the mind is connected to the heart.

Many studies, charts, and phycology try
to define the difference in the brain
between the logical and the emotional,
the brain and the heart.

We think a proper balance in our thinking of the
heart and brain will balance the realities of our life.

The foundation of everything determines
how you will build and what you build.

Imagine the person who thinks there is no God.

What is the conclusion in their thinking?

It is simple…

Whatever they feel is right in their own eyes.

Their perception of reality
is whatever they want it to be.

The Bible tells us of a time in history where this
was a reality and what happened in Genesis 6…

The LORD saw how great man's
wickedness on the earth had become

Note what happened before God sent the flood…

Every inclination of the thoughts of
his heart was only evil all the time”

Note “thoughts of his heart”.

Even then God points out our
thinking is analytical and emotional.

Now imagine a person who thinks there is a God.

Their process of reality will be
affected by their concept of that god.

Over 40 years ago, I woke up
one morning with the thought…

“What if the God, Jesus, I was taught about from
the time I was born was not the true God”

I was paralyzed as fear griped a hold of me.

I was afraid to get out of bed for fear I could
be in an accident and die without the truth.

I remember a thought came to me
in the form of a question from God…

“Have I “God” every failed you?
Even though you do not understand every-
thing in my Word, has My Word ever failed?”

I answered, “No”

Than the voice in my head said,
“Follow Me until you see I fail to be true.”

Forty years later I am still following that God,
the One who gave us His written Word.

There is a scripture in Proverbs that says…

“There is a way that seems right to a
man but the end is destruction.”

I can and do create my own reality, but
I did not create the heavens and the earth.

I can choose to live in my own creation,
 in God’s creation, or…

I can choose to live my life according to
the design of the One who created
the heavens and earth I live in.

This type of thinking will stretch me and
anyone who thinks there is a God.

Because as the Bible says…

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,"
 declares the LORD.
Isaiah 55:8

What is the hope God has given
those who put their trust in Him? …

His Spirit

 The Spirit searches all things,
even the deep things of God
 1 Corinthians 2:16

"For who has known the mind of the Lord
that he may instruct him?"
But we have the mind of Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:16

How we think shapes our
 future now and for eternity.

Let this mind that was in Jesus Christ be in you.

Let the Spirit of God stretch your thinking.

Scripture Reading

1 Corinthians 2:10-16 NIV
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.   14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment:

16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord
that he may instruct him?"

But we have the mind of Christ.

 Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV
8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,"
 declares the LORD.
9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
