Teach Us to Number Our Days My Life Verse Frees Me From the Love of Money

Teach Us to Number Our Days

My Life Verse Frees Me From the Love of Money

The love of money

isn’t what it is

quacked up to be!

                                                            When God is our helper,

                                                             our bottom line is blessing!

It is interesting that God uses a double negative
to make the point of not leaving us.

“Never will I leave you.”

 “Never will I forsake you.”

 Verses 5 and 6 of Hebrews 13
encompasses every promise to the follower of Christ.

What more could you ask from God
than His continual presences
and His almighty power to help you?

This is not the first time
we find these words in the Bible.

But here in Hebrews,
we find this powerful promise connected to money.

Keep free from the love of money.

Our love should be focused on
the One who will take care of us in all circumstances.

This morning I looked out my back door window
as the darkness of morning was fading away.

I could see the deck, the pond and trees
and I thought I have to thank God.

He has taken care of my family and
 I with wonderful things.

I have never been able to figure it out.

When Sandy and I got married,

we had no idea how we would pay the bills.

I was out of work the first few years more than 9 months.

We applied for food stamps,
and was told we were too poor to afford them.

Although I could not get government help,
God met every need and we felt blessed.

When our girls were old enough to start school,
we were convicted to give them the best education we could.

The tuition didn’t fit the budget - but God provided.

Financial hardships seemed to increase the last 5 to 7 years.

With big losses and being out of work for some time,
it amazes me as I look out the window and
see all God has blessed us with.

The only thing that makes sense is...

God has never left me,
He has never forsaken me,
and He has been my helper.

So the bottom line of my P&L is….

Praise God - He provides!!!

Scripture Reading

 Hebrews 13:4-6 NIV

5 Keep your lives free from the love of money

and be content with what you have,

because God has said,

"Never will I leave you;

never will I forsake you."

6 So we say with confidence,

"The Lord is my helper;

I will not be afraid.

What can man do to me?"

Philippians 4:19-20 NKJV

19 And my God shall supply all your need

according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

20 Now to our God and Father be

glory forever and ever. Amen.
