Calling Where Do I Start?

Calling
Where Do I Start?

Calling or Purpose we all question from time to time
“Am I doing the right thing?”
“Am I where I ought to be?”
These questions can drive us or depress us
If you are one who questions your Calling?
If you wonder if you are where you ought to be?
If you feel like you are in a search for your Purpose?
You are in a great place
Your heart is tender and you care about life and the future
You are now in position to understand the answer to
“What is my Purpose, my Calling?”

Where Do I Start?

Calling or Purpose…

We all question from time to time.

“Am I doing the right thing?”

“Am I where I ought to be?”

These questions can drive us

Or, depress us.

Growing up in the church
 and being a preacher…

 I realize Christians hear a
lot of motivational speaking.

Whether you are in a meeting
where everybody comes to the altar
or there is no altar call at all,
or something in between…

 Most messages in church
are calling us to something.

I personally think it is good
to examine ourselves daily.

Like the Psalmist…

Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalm 139:23-24

The question of…

“Am I living out my Purpose and
walking out my Calling?”

Is further fed by Scriptures
like 2 Corinthians 13:5&6…

Examine yourselves to see whether
you are in the faith; test yourselves.
Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you
— unless, of course, you fail the test?
And I trust that you will discover
that we have not failed the test.

And 2 Peter 1:10&11…

Therefore, my brothers, be all the more
eager to make your calling and election sure.
For if you do these things, you will never fall,
and you will receive a rich welcome into the
eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We see in Scripture, and in life,
people doing great things.

Although it is not wise to compare ourselves
with others, they do provoke us to a godly jealousy.

If you are one who questions your Calling?

If you wonder if you are where you ought to be?

If you feel like you are in a search for your Purpose?

You are in a great place.

Your heart is tender and you
care about life and the future.

View these questions as a start to your
future, not an end of missing the mark.

The Call of God is greater
than the Call to Repentance.

The Call of God is bigger
than a one and done.

The Call of God touches
every aspect of your life.

As your life is ongoing, so is
the Call and Purpose of your life.

So if you are questioning,
pat yourself on the back.

Your questions are a prayer that says…

“Dear Lord I want more.

I want to be all you would have me to be.

I know I am weak by the lack of change
in my life and the world around me.
So humbly I seek Your strength.

In order that whatever I do
I do it as unto you.

A-Men”

You are now in position
to understand the answer to…

“What is my Purpose, my Calling?”
