God Wants You to Have More Happiness

What do you think is God’s most repeated command
What does God say more than anything else
It is not warnings about money, sex and power
God’s most repeated command is Be Happy
When He says Praise Him, He is saying Look at Me
Look at what I have done, Look at Who I am
Look until you see His glory look until you see one
Of His attributes that addresses your needs and desires
God does not need your lip service but you and I
Need to see who He is and how much He cares for us
God's most repeated command is Be Happy
More than anything else God tells us
To "Praise the Lord", "Give Thanks" and to "Rejoice"
God wants you and I to be truly happy more than anything

God Wants You to Have More Happiness

What do you think is God’s most repeated command?

What does God say more than anything else?

It is not warnings about money, sex and power.

God’s most repeated command is Be Happy.

More than anything else God tells us
to “Praise the Lord”, “Give Thanks” and to “Rejoice”.

God wants you and I to be truly
happy more than anything.

Not just in heaven some day or when
circumstances turn for the better.

Life is full of pain and suffering and at times
it seems our pain is more than we can bear.

It is in those times God offers comfort, He is the
God of all comfort and the father of compassion.
 2 Corinthians 1:3

The Bible is real to life in pointing out sin, sorrow,
grief, pain, betrayal, failure, fear, horror and wretchedness.

Those times are real, but so is God, to help us
heal and move on to a more fulfilling life.

God wants you and I to know the hope and
power that produces joy in us even in painful places.

God is not commanding us to put on a fake smile
but in His commands are the instructions to go deep
inside and have a genuine reality of happiness.

The most important command and the
command most repeated complement each other.

The most important is Mark 12:29-31…

"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.   Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

There is a direct relationship to loving God supremely
and loving others and being authentically happy.

There is not a sacrifice of one for the other.

God holds the universe together.

When He says Praise Him,
He is saying Look at Me.

Look at what I have done, Look at Who I am.

Look until you see His glory, look until you see one
of His attributes that addresses your needs and desires.

God does not need your lip service but you and I
need to see who He is and how much He cares for us.

He values you more than anything else He has created.

He loves you when you feel like a child in your foolishness,
fear, and lack of understanding, remember
when Jesus said let the little children come to Me.

Our greatest happiness comes from relationships.

Relationship with Him and others.

Love is the foundation to happiness.

Love that brings happiness.

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure,
pressed down, shaken together and running over,
will be poured into your lap.
For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
 Luke 6:38

So rejoice in the Lord always again I say rejoice
Philippians 4:4

Because God wants you to be happy.

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7

Scripture Reading

Mark 12:28-31 NIV
28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"

29 "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.   30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'   31 The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

2 Corinthians 1:3-5 NIV
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

Luke 6:37-38  NIV
37 "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure , pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
