            Power to Transform Our Bodies      

  

If you have tried to transform your body

If you have dieted, exercised, and lived right

You know the energy and will power it took to make a difference

Jesus Christ has the power to transform your body

After being in the grave 200 years

That is transformational power

Philippians 3:20, 21

 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

Body transformation

Men and women want to change their bodies.

Some work very hard in the gym or with

diet programs to get the body they want.

Others seek medical procedures for that healthier look.

Most find it so hard to get the body they want

they give up and put their efforts somewhere else.

While others spend a lot of time trying on

different clothes to hide what they don’t want to see.

All of us want a body transformation in some way.

The older we get the more difficult it

becomes to have that body we want.

If you have the before and after pictures,

if you have done the diet and exercising programs to

get a body transformation, you know it took “WORK”.

It took a lot of will “POWER”.

It takes effort and work.

 You use a lot of power to get a better body.

So just imagine your body after 80

years of life than decades in the grave.

What kind of power can transform that body?

Even the best bodies don’t look good

after being in the grave 200 years.

Jesus Christ went through a body transformation.

He gave us an example of this transformation change.

At the tomb where they laid His dead

body mutilated by the crucifixion

was the before and after picture.

After Jesus’ resurrection His

body had the scars in His hands.

He ate with the disciples yet He

could enter a room with locked doors.

For 40 days Jesus showed Himself to be

alive and at His ascension 120 saw the body

of Christ ascend into the clouds.

Philippians 3:21 tells us...

“…by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

There is good news… Jesus Christ has the power

to transform our bodies even after death.

Your body is important, it is a gift from God.

It is important to take care of that gift.

God wants you to sanctify your body as

well as your spirit and soul. 1 Thessalonians 5:23

I commend you for the efforts you

make to take care of your body.

But don’t get caught up in the

worlds idea of the perfect body.

Remember most of the ideas are to

sell you a produce, to promote sex,

or give you energy to have a body like Moses.

 Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died,

 yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone.

Deuteronomy 34:7

Moses was the one who gave us the dietary

law from God (maybe there is something

in God’s Word about eating right).

Think of the power of God that enables Jesus

Christ to bring everything under His control.

That same power will transform our

lowly bodies to be like His glorious body.

That is powerful.

Just remember it is your job to take care of your body

until the time you take your heavenly citizenship.

Not sure, but Jesus’ transformed body

had scares from the nails in His hands.

Will your heavenly body reflect

how you treated your earthy body?
