Power The End

Power
The End

Jesus Christ is ruling and increasing
His Glorious Church is reaching to the ends of the earth
The powers of Evil are increasing and reaching to the ends of the earth
The disciples were to stay in the cities where they were received and shake off the dust from the ones that rejected them
The end of the command to go into all the earth seems to be coming to completion
In the end every knee shall bow and all powers and authorities will be put under Jesus’ feet
There is no more time to be lukewarm
It is a Glorious Church Christ is coming back for
A people actively working together for God’s glory
The life lived for Christ is not in vain

The End

Nobody wants to be on the losing team.

You may have played sports in school and you
were very good but your team was not a winning team.

We cannot always choose the team we want to be on.

I have always had a hard time with Paul’s words in
 1 Corinthians 15:19.

If only for this life we have hope in Christ,
we are to be pitied more than all men.

My life in Christ has been such a blessing that if
there was no heaven I have been better off in this life.

Paul’s point is the importance of more than this life.

The end and what that means to those who follow Jesus.

In the end…

Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the
Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.
For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.

Never has there been more
people on the earth than now.

I look at the growth in my life time and I am
amazed at all the new houses and roads.

Space is getting tighter as the population increases.

We live in a time where evil is
increasing and good is increasing.

 These two forces have had
room to grow and expand.

God has allowed men and
women to make their own choices.

In history, we see persecution pushing
Godly people from their homes and land.

This was so true with the early Church
that we read about in the Book of Acts.

That persecution was not a defeat to Christ.

Jesus said…

“Go into all the world and preach the Gospel.”

The Early Church grew in Jerusalem but did not go
out like Christ commanded until persecution came.

This was not evil overcoming good,
but a tool for God to get the Gospel
to the Gentiles throughout the world.

The Gospel is being preached
throughout the World in our day.

We are coming to a time when there will be no more
places to go where the Gospel is not preached.

Jesus told His disciples when He sent them out that if
they were received they were to stay and if were
rejected to shake off the dust from their feet and move on.

It seems we are getting to a place where
the space for evil to grow and the Gospel
to grow are getting more confined.

Could it be that we are getting close to the
last place to shake the dust off our feet?

Could it be that we are coming to a time
when He will return for His Glorious Church?

Time when all authorities and powers that would
not submit to Christ will stand at the feet of Jesus?

And He will put them under His feet?

There is a collision course between those who
submit to Christ and those who do not.

The space between them is closing.

In the end if you are born again, living in fellowship
with the rest of the family of God, which is His church…

Then you are on the winning team.

You have a choice.

Which team are you playing for?

There is no more time to be lukewarm.

It is a Glorious Church Christ is coming back for.
A people actively working together for God’s glory.

The life lived for Christ is not in vain.

The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
For he "has put everything under his feet."
then the Son himself will be made subject
to him who put everything under him,
so that God may be all in all.

Scripture Reading

1 Corinthians 15:19-28 NIV

19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ,
we are to be pitied more than all men.

20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 23 But each in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. 24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For he "has put everything under his feet." Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28 When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all
