Power
Right Hand
Yes, it takes eyes
of faith to see the right hand of God
But only fools can’t
recognize His fingerprints
God’s right hand is
mighty
It is mighty to save
This is why it is so
important to share your testimonies
Of the fingerprints
of God’s power with others
Because in the
battle, the clouds of the natural, make it difficult for us
To see His Right
Hand striking down our enemies
Right Hand
Your arm is endued
with power;
your hand is strong,
your right hand exalted
Psalm 80:13
As a boy, I remember my grandfather rolling
up his sleeve to show me his muscle.
He said watch this and he would flex his muscle.
He told me the muscle was a frog under his
skin and as he flexed the frog would jump.
Now I have grandchildren and I tell
them I have a frog that jumps in my arm.
Young men like to flex their muscles.
The girls like the men with the “big guns”.
The right hand and arm is a symbol of strength.
Over 100 times the Bible mentions
the right arm or right hand.
When the bullies of life flex their muscles, God says…
Isaiah 41:13
For I am the LORD,
your God,
who takes hold of your
right hand
and says to you, Do
not fear;
I will help you.
The Lord makes our right hand powerful.
It was with the right hand that the
Patriarchs blessed their children.
Genesis
48:14
The right is a symbol of authority.
Jesus sits at the right hand of God.
A place of equal authority and power.
You have heard the saying…
“the right hand man”.
Ephesians 1 tells us…
…his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like
the working of his mighty strength, 20 which he exerted in Christ when he
raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly
realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every
title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to
come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head
over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who
fills everything in every way.
Ephesians
1:19-23
Proof that Christ ascended into heaven and was seated
at the right hand of God is clearly seen in Acts 2,
when from His seat in heaven Jesus sent the Holy Spirit.
From the right hand of God,
Jesus intercedes for us.
Romans 8:34-35
34 Who is he that
condemns? Christ Jesus, who died — more than that, who was raised to life — is
at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate
us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship
or persecution or
famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
This all makes sense of the many Old Testament
prophecies concerning the Messiah subduing His enemies.
Psalm 110:1;
118:16
Moses accredits the great things
God did for the people of Israel…
"Your right hand,
O LORD, was majestic in power.
Your right hand, O
LORD, shattered the enemy.
Exodus 15:6
The right hand is a symbol of authority, strength,
power, blessing, sovereignty, righteousness.
“Your arm is endued
with power;
your hand is strong,
your right hand exalted.”
So many times we do not see the strong
right hand of the Lord in our lives.
In those times of great trouble we
cry out like Jesus did on the cross…
“My God, My God why
have you forsaken me”
But later we see God was fulfilling His purpose.
Later on we see that what the enemy
meant for harm God meant for good.
It is when time has passed, we see
“All things work
together for the good”.
It is later we see
the fingerprints of
that right hand all over our situation.
Yes, it takes eyes of
faith to
see the right hand of God.
But only fools can’t recognize His fingerprints.
God’s right hand is mighty.
It is mighty to save.
This is why it is so important to share your testimonies
of the fingerprints of God’s power with others.
Because in the battle, the clouds of the natural,
make it difficult for
us to see His
Right Hand striking down our enemies.
Scripture Reading
Psalm 89:9-18 NIV
9 You rule over the surging sea;
when its waves mount up, you still them.
10 You crushed Rahab like one of the slain;
with your strong arm you scattered your enemies.
11 The heavens are yours, and yours also the earth;
you founded the world and all that is in it.
12 You created the north and the south;
Tabor and Hermon sing for joy at your name.
13 Your arm is endued with power;
your hand is strong, your right hand exalted.
14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your
throne;
love and faithfulness go before you.
15 Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you,
who walk in the light of your presence, O LORD.
16 They rejoice in your name all day long;
they exult in your righteousness.
17 For you are their glory and strength,
and by your favor you exalt our horn.
18 Indeed, our shield belongs to the LORD,
our king to the Holy One of Israel.
