Thanksgiving



Thanksgiving


The first Thanksgiving natives and settlers came
 together to give thanks to God for the blessings of harvest
America’s founding document states
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
Those who do not believe in God and God haters want a different America
Among many of them are fruits of prejudice, hatred, self-interest, and terror
Thanksgiving is more than a meal
If you are really thankful do something to show your gratitude
Show your pride in “God We Trust”
Life, Liberty and Happiness cannot be found without Creator God  



Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving, a National Holiday celebrated in America,
 started as a day of giving thanks for the blessings
of the harvest and of the preceding year.

Thanksgiving has its roots in religion.

Unexpected disasters or threats of judgment
from on high called for Days of Fasting.

Special blessings, viewed as coming from
God, called for Days of Thanksgiving.

In the United States, the modern Thanksgiving holiday tradition is traced to a sparsely documented 1621 celebration at Plymouth in present-day Massachusetts, and also to a well recorded 1619 event in Virginia. The 1621 Plymouth feast and thanksgiving was prompted by a good harvest. Pilgrims and Puritans who began emigrating from England in the 1620s and 1630s carried the tradition of Days of Fasting and Days of Thanksgiving with them to New England. The 1619 arrival of 38 English settlers at Berkeley Hundred in Charles City County, Virginia, concluded with a religious celebration as dictated by the group's charter from the London Company, which specifically required "that the day of our ships arrival at the place assigned ... in the land of Virginia shall be yearly and perpetually kept holy as a day of thanksgiving to Almighty God." As President of the United States, George Washington proclaimed the first nationwide thanksgiving celebration in America marking November 26, 1789, "as a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favours of Almighty God." “Thanksgiving has its roots in religion”…

“…shall be yearly and perpetually kept holy
as a day of thanksgiving to Almighty God.” 

If you are an American, you
have a lot to thank God for.

America has opened its doors and
has been the land of opportunity.

It has also been a land of refuge.

We see images of the first Thanksgiving with
native Indians and settlers sitting together with
gratefulness to God and the help of one another.

History tells us that the godly
love for one another did not last.

War between native and
settlers shed the blood of many.
  
Today Americans who have helped to bring
peace to the world have seen great turmoil…

Internal wars between natives and settlers.

Although this time Americans are the natives.

At the founding of America’s history
there was one thing that united us…

There was one thing that caused
natives and settlers to live in peace…
 
You can find that one thing everywhere
you look in the early history of America.

To keep America from becoming a greedy nation
it is printed on its currency “In God We Trust”.

Many national monuments were erected to remind
the generations to come and the new settlers that
this nation recognizes its roots and its success to God.

It was the founding document that gave
man this nation independent
from the Kingdom of Great Britain.

The document that birthed this nation…

The United States Declaration of Independence
  
When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
Laws of nature and of nature’s God entitle them.

Only God gives the right.

The Declaration of Independence
then stated these famous words…

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Where do the rights of Americans come from?... 

The Creator, God

What are those rights?...

Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness

America is at war

An internal war

The war is simple

Why do we have so much hatred and violence?

  We have those who do not want the Creator God in America.

Without God there is no moral compass.

When the rule is “Everyone is to do what is
right in their own eyes”, you have chaos.

If you take away God you take
away the foundation of America…and

The Declaration of Independence is
not worth the paper it was written on.
  
So why is this a Thanksgiving Devotional?

Because true Thanksgiving is more than a word.

Thanksgiving is expressing thanks.

It is declaring your appreciation and protecting it.

If you are grateful for the America established
by the Declaration of Independence…

If you truly believe…

America should be separated from the powers of the earth,
that America should be governed by
Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them.

If you believe…

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

If you believe America should never let
God haters change or rule this nation…

Then give thanks by doing the right thing.

Show your gratitude.

Don’t be silent.
