A Mother’s Enmity

Genesis 3:15

And I will put enmity

between you and the woman,

and between your offspring and hers;

he will crush your head,

and you will strike his heel." Genesis 3:15

“Enmity” is not a light word

It means intense hostility

There is no greater warrior than a mother protecting her child

Who crushes deception with a vengeance under her heel

And gently loves her children in her arms

A Mother’s Enmity

 

It is hard to think of a greater

sorrow than taking a mother’s child.

 

The loss of a child is off the chart

on the 1 to 10 pain scale.

 

A mother’s loss through death or rebellion

goes deep into the heart of emotion.

 

 Who can count the tears a

mother will cry in a life time?

 

In the Genesis account of creation,

God addresses Satan, Adam and Eve after

 the eating from the Tree of Knowledge.

 

God addresses Satan first in Genesis 3:14.

 

Because Satan was so crafty to deceive Eve,

Satan will continue to live this low life

existence like a snake on the ground.

 

He will eat the dust of the earth, this picture of dust 

is man, which God made from the dust of the earth.

 

Verse 15 reveals a deeper look into this

relationship between Satan and women.

 

Before we go on it is important to note

 these verses have significant spiritual meaning.

 

The scripture are full of prophetic insight

into the serpent, the woman and her offspring.

 

As important and enjoyable

 it is to see the spiritual meaning…

 

 It is also important we see how these

events practically effect our lives every day.

 

Genesis 3:15 says…      

 

And I will put enmity

between you and the woman,

and between your offspring and hers;

he will crush your head,

and you will strike his heel."

 

“Enmity” is not a light word.

 

It means intense hostility.

 

It comes from the same Latin root as enemy.

 

Satan is determined to take a mother’s child

and he will do it in very cunning and crafty ways…

 

Because of Satan’s hatred for God and His creation.

 

Satan’s goal is to be the father of every mother’s child…

 

You belong to your father, the devil,

and you want to carry out your father's desire.
He was a murderer from the beginning,

not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him.

When he lies, he speaks his native language,

for he is a liar and the father of lies.

John 8:44

 

Satan is the father of lies and

God is the Father of Truth.

 

God and Satan have their own language

and they are very different.

 

If you are a mother, you know a major part

of your role is to protect your children.

 

You also know that like a snake in the grass,

harm can sneak into your children’s lives.

 

As a mother it is not the most obvious

but the subtle ways you must be aware of.

 

Every mother looks forward to the first

words of their child and continue to teach

them the language so you can communicate.

 

The world you are raising your children in

has learned the language of the father of lies.

 

The cunning serpent has turned children

against parents, destroyed our children’s

lives with addictions, hatred, immorality.

 

The serpent, father of lies is abducting our children.

 

Maybe this is why more women

 dislike snakes than men.

 

Mothers you have an enemy.

 

It is good for you to have an

intense hostility for the father of lies.

 

There is hope.

 

There is One who will fight for you.

 

He will bruise and tread your head underfoot,

and you will lie in wait and bruise His heel

Genesis 3:15

 

Jesus has come to put His

heel on the serpent’s head.

 

Mothers it is important you teach

your children the language of truth…

 

Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me. Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say.

John 8:42-43

 

Make the language of our Creator,

 our Heavenly Father, clear to your children.

 

Recognize the language of the serpent.

 

Recognize the crafty and cunning

devices he uses to lie to your children.

 

The Bible says to the pregnant woman…

 

And listen! You will become pregnant

and will give birth to a Son,

and you shall call His name Jesus.

Luke 1:31 AMP

 

This Child not only crushed the serpent’s head…

 

 But leads a Kingdom where true

family guidelines are kept.

 

For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given;

and the government shall be upon His shoulder,

and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor,

Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace

Isaiah 9:6 AMP

 

Your help is coming.

 

And the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.

 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) be with you.

Romans 16:20 AMP

 

Remember when the battle rages…

 

 To obey God.

 

So then the dragon was furious (enraged) at the woman,

and he went away to wage war on the remainder of her descendants

 — [on those] who obey God's commandments

and who have the testimony of Jesus Christ

[and adhere to it and bear witness to Him].

Revelation 12:17 AMP

 

“There is no greater warrior than

a mother protecting her children”
