From Isaiah to You Merry Christmas Christmas Prophecies

From Isaiah to You Merry Christmas

Christmas Prophecies

Romans 15:12 says

And again, Isaiah says,

"The Root of Jesse will spring up,

one who will arise to rule over the nations;

the Gentiles will hope in him." Quote from Isaiah 11:10

As God has a plan for the Children of Abraham, God has a plan for us, the Gentiles

As God has a plan for Israel, I believe God has a plan for America

We have to ask ourselves

In light of the prophetic fulfillment of Isaiah concerning Christmas

Is the Corona Pandemic, that has plagued the world, part of God’s plan?

Are the elections parts of God’s plan?

If we say yes, than we should also say, “I will not be afraid”

I will put my trust in the Messiah, the Child given unto us

I will trust in His Justice and Righteousness

Christmas Prophecies

I have been very mindful of

my latter years all my life.

I have made plans and worked hard to

assure my Golden Years would be golden.

With all my plans and preparations

over the years…

I am amazed at how much different these latter

years are than what I had thought or hoped for.

I regularly watch the news

to get the weather report…

I cannot get over how often

their predictions are wrong.

This inability to see the future

makes us insecure and uncertain.

How many times do we not take risk

because we know the future is uncertain?

If you are like me, you see the world

at times and wonder if God is in control

(even though we would not admit it).

When we do see something

we give God credit for…

Someone is always there to explain

it all as some natural act of nature.

For all this, I am so glad God

made and spoke through prophets.

Isaiah is quoted over 70

times in the New Testament.

From those quotes we can see God

revealing His plans for the future.

Isaiah says in Chapter 9 verse 6 and 7…

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given

This Child will rule…

And the government will be on His shoulders.

Of the increase of His government

and peace there will be no end.

We are told His nature or character…

And He will be called

Wonderful Counselor

 Mighty God

Everlasting Father

 Prince of Peace.

We even are told His human lineage…

He will reign on David's throne

and over His kingdom

We are told how He will rule…

With justice and righteousness

And how long…

From that time on and forever.

In Isaiah 7:14 we are told of a miraculous sign…

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign:

The virgin will be with child

and will give birth to a son,

and will call him Immanuel.

Born a virgin birth…

A son

And be called Immanuel God with us.

All the fulfillment of this is found in Matthew 1.

Matthew gives us the lineage of Jesus and

how Jesus was born of the line of King David.

It also breaks down the lineage to point out

the exile to Babylon which Isaiah also foretold…

Thus there were fourteen generations in

all from Abraham to David,

fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon,

and fourteen from the exile to the Christ.

Matthew 1:17

The story of Mary and Joseph tell us…

She was found to be with

child through the Holy Spirit.

verse 18

Because what is conceived in

her is from the Holy Spirit.

She will give birth to a son

Verses 20 & 21

Matthew 1:22-23…

All this took place to fulfill what the

Lord had said through the prophet:

"The virgin will be with child

and will give birth to a son,

and they will call him Immanuel"

-which means, "God with us."

Isaiah foretells Jesus’ ministry and death.

Christmas through the eyes of Isaiah

helps me see God is not without a plan.

God is able to fulfill His plan.

There are times, like Mary the mother of Jesus,

in our lives when we do not understand…

But Mary treasured up all these things

and pondered them in her heart.

 Luke 2:19

We, too, will have many things we have to

put on a shelf in our heart until the time comes.

And when the time comes, we will say…

“This is what the prophet spoke of”.

Romans 15:12 says…

And again, Isaiah says,

"The Root of Jesse will spring up,

one who will arise to rule over the nations;

the Gentiles will hope in him."

 Quote from Isaiah 11:10

As God has a plan for the Children of Abraham…

God has a plan for us, the Gentiles.

As God has a plan for Israel…

I believe God has a plan for America.

We have to ask ourselves in light of the prophetic

fulfillment of Isaiah concerning Christmas…

Is the Corona Pandemic, that has plagued

the world, part of God’s plan?

Are the elections parts of God’s plan?

If we say yes…

 Than we should also say,

 “I will not be afraid”.

I will put my trust in the Messiah,

 the Child given unto us.

I will trust in His Justice and Righteousness.
