From Isaiah to You Merry Christmas
Justice and Righteousness
The Kingdom of God is near and coming quickly
Let us submit to His Government of Justice and Righteousness
Let us pray for those in authority this Christmas and throughout the year
For in the establishing of His Government He tells us in Romans 13:1-2
Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
Jesus was killed by authorities
But never called for a rebellion - But a revolution of love
How will the world know we are His disciples?
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:34-35
There is a lot to hate in and about government in the world
But don’t let your hate get in the way of loving one another
Let’s show love and make this a Merry Christmas
Justice and Righteousness
The Government of the Son of God…
Isaiah 9:6 tells us the type of Governor…
The One whose shoulders
bear the weight of government.
Those who see and understand
His Governing will call Him…
Wonderful Counselor
Mighty God
Everlasting Father
Prince of Peace
Isaiah 9:7 tells us the type of Government.
It is increasing from the Birth of Christ.
Those submitting to His Government
have increased in the world.
Though there is an increase of
trouble in human government…
The followers of the Son of God
have hope that gives peace.
The Government of His Kingdom is established
and held together by two things…
Justice and Righteousness
It doesn’t matter if you are on the right
side or left side, liberal or conservative…
There is complaining of a lack of
justice and righteousness in America.
I still love America.
I love our Constitution and the Biblical
principles this nation was founded on.
But the shoulders of our leaders in government
have failed to lead in justice and righteousness.
I live righteousness, even though,
I struggle to do what is right.
I love justice and am so grateful
for mercy when I am wrong.
Justice and Righteousness is a process…
From that time on and forever.
Jesus the Child born unto us told us…
From that time on Jesus began to preach,
"Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."
Matthew 4:17
There is a forever to His Kingdom…
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes;
there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.
There shall be no more pain,
for the former things have passed away."
Revelation 21:4 NKJV
Peter says…
But in keeping with his promise
we are looking forward to a new heaven
and a new earth, the home of righteousness.
2 Peter 3:13
Isaiah’s Christmas message is a message of…
Hope and Peace even in a world of trouble.
Christ is on the throne.
He is bringing justice in the nations of the world.
We don’t always understand His Rod of
Justice or Mercies that endure forever.
So what should we do?
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers,
intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—
for kings and all those in authority,
that we may live peaceful and quiet lives
in all godliness and holiness.
This is good, and pleases God our Savior,
who wants all men to be saved and to
come to a knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:1-5
Those government leaders you may
hate, pray for them that they may…
“Be saved and come to a Knowledge of the Truth.”
Four times in Revelation 3:11; 22:7, 12, 20, Jesus says…
“I come quickly.”
Isaiah says…
The zeal of the LORD Almighty
will accomplish this.
The Kingdom of God is near and coming quickly.
Let us submit to His Government
of Justice and Righteousness.
Let us pray for those in authority this

Scripture Reading
Isaiah 9:6-7 NIV
6 For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on David's throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the LORD Almighty
will accomplish this.
