The Blessing Spiritual blessing of Adoption

The Blessing
Spiritual blessing of Adoption

Many say…
 “We are all God’s children.”

I can’t connect with this
statement or belief, here’s why…

Jesus tells us there are those who claim God is
their Father but He says their father is the devil.

Jesus says His Father teaches Him the truth.

And the Devil is the father of all lies.

There is a language in each family
that reveals the family members.

You can read this in John 8.

In John 3, Jesus makes it clear no one comes
into God’s family unless that person is “born again”.

It is clear God created man and woman
but that does not make us family.

We are all God’s creation
 but not all God’s family.

When we understand our father is the devil,
who keeps us in deception, we can appreciate
the spiritual blessing of adoption.

If you were looking to adopt
what would you be looking for?

Chances are you would not be
looking for deceptive children.

Think about it…“God so loved the world”.

“In love He predestined us to be adopted.”

“God is love”

Adoption is not something you do on a whim.

It takes planning and it takes love.

God sent His Son with an adoption plan.

John 1:10-13 NIV
“He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.”

Amazingly, Jesus came to adopt sinners.

He revealed the adoption plan to thieves,
prostitutes to the unlovable He revealed His love.

The spiritual blessing of adoption
is to “all who receive Him”.

Through adoption we learn a new
language of truth and love.

We are given heavenly mansions where
we can dwell with our loving Father forever.

This spiritual bless is a big deal.

Scripture Reading

Ephesians 1:4-5 NIV

In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—
