The Blessing Blessing Comes to the Healthy

The Blessing
Blessing Comes to the Healthy

Jesus came “to bless you by turning each
of you from your wicked (unhealthy) ways."

It is said…
“If you don’t have health,
you don’t have anything”

It is also said…
 “The greatest wealth is health”

Being healthy is a big thing.

All food sold in the United States is labeled
so you can know how healthy you are eating.

Reminders of healthy living are everywhere.

Yet most of us despite the fact that we
know what to do to be healthy, don’t do it.

“You must take care of our body because
it is the only place you have to live in.”

In Acts 3:26 it says…
When Jesus came He came to “bless you by
turning each of you from your wicked ways.”

The word “wicked” in the original language derives its
meaning from “depravity” “harmful” effects that
or influence that change us from our original essential
character as well as degenerate us from our original virtue

To be “ill, diseased especially morally”.

Jesus came to bless us and it starts with
us turning to our original intent of God.

When God made Adam and Eve,
 He made two healthy bodies.

Their spirit, soul and body were perfect.

God did it right; they enjoyed total perfection.

No one born of a man and a woman has
ever lived healthier than Adam and Eve.

Their physical, emotional and mental
beings had no sickness, sorrow or pain.

They were blessed by God to
live in these perfect houses.

This was and is God’s intent for people.

It is important to realize God’s intent in sending Jesus
is to get us back to the blessing He intended us to have.

To get us to turn from the things
that makes us ill and diseased.

Look at these words in 1 Thessalonians 5:23…

“May God himself, the God of peace,
 sanctify you through and through.
May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept
blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” NIV

Before Christ comes and we receive our
new bodies He want us to be healthy.

To “sanctify” you, this is to set you apart from
unhealthy things, that is what “holiness” is.

In the Garden, God created us to be healthy.

Jesus came to get our attention to turn us from
unhealthy living to a healthy and blessed life style.

What “wicked, unhealthy” ways does
He want to turn you from today?

Scripture Reading

Acts 3:24-26 NIV

24 "Indeed, all the prophets from Samuel on, as many as have spoken, have foretold these days. 25 And you are heirs of the prophets and of the covenant God made with your fathers. He said to Abraham, 'Through your offspring all peoples on earth will be blessed.'
26 When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways."
